GHIRARDELLI Intense Dark Chocolate Squares, 86% Cacao, 4.12 oz Bag

Very chocolaty, nice texture. Tested by an independent lab to be very good with amounts of heavy metals. Many chocolates ate loaded with heavy metals and not approved. This one is approved.

Actually it was the doctor that suggested I switch from eating milk chocolate to dark chocolate that had at least 85% cacao. This is perfect and comes in individual servings that are fully wrapped so you can put it in a handbag or a briefcase. And it makes a good snack to carry with you.

This is chocolate that isn't particularly sweet and I doubt that kids who prefer the sweeter milk chocolate would care for it. With 86% cacao, it does have an intense, but smooth, chocolate flavor. A couple of pieces go very well with a cup of espresso or other strong coffee in place of dessert. Definitely for adult tastes!

It's a healthy way to eat chocolate and not bad but 86% is not as tasty as lower percentage chocolate however the health benefits are better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Chocolate a month ago and I have always love dark chocolate but I have found my favorite one this intense dark chocolate is delicious with a fantastic chocolate flavor, it doesn't leave a after taste.I think this chocolate is a good value, the quality is great so everyone who loves dark chocolate should try this one. These chocolate squares are a perfect size.

I have never been a dark chocolate lover; but, hearing how healthy dark chocolate is supposed to be (especially the higher percent of cacao) I have decided to add it to my diet in moderation. A reviewer suggested allowing it to melt in the mouth, rather than chewing. I appreciate the taste better using the melt in the mouth method rather than chewing ..... it's growing on me!! Thus, the four stars is because I am still growing to appreciate dark chocolate without the abundance of sugar and fat and sodium. I like that dark chocolate pieces are wrapped individually and each piece can be considered mouth size or bite size; plus, to enjoy chocolate without the added sugar is indeed a huge plus. There is 12 individual chocolate squares per package. Four pieces is 43g and considered 1 serving with: 5g sugar, 0 cholesterol, 0 sodium, 3g protein and 23g total fat (14g saturated fat). I enjoy with no guilt.

Would like to be able to buy in a box like thin mints where you can get like 100 of them for a better price. Of all the dark chocolate I have tasted from grocery stores/big box stores, these rank near the top!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't love dark chocolate, but I don't dislike it either. I tried this, and believe them when they say intense dark chocolate flavor. It reminds me of baker's chocolate. Personally, this was so off putting to my tastes, that i could not finish the tiny two bite square. Now, if you are into dark chocolate, you might like this. If you are on the fence, don't bother. It is very strong, to the point of bitter. By itself, the square is awful! I have found success with it mixed in hot cocoa or with Irish coffee.

I ordered two of these and only received one. The seller has not responded. I would NOT recommend this seller, due to lack of communication. Walmart has NOT helped at all.
