Gladiator Color Matched Screws , GAAC0232

I have been working on 2 garages, mine and my daughters! Doing hers in grey and mine in white slat walls. Product is great and easy to work with. My goal in both garages was to get everything off the floors! A shelf and a hook for everything!

Love that you can't see them but need a little longer screw bit.

Awesome, love Gladiator Stuff. My whole garage is done up. WorkBenches, tool boxes, slat walls, 6 storage cabinets, hanging cabs, shelves, ceiling storage even the fridge:) Only need a couple more things to finish it up. Been eyeing the small beverage cooler. Love how it all matches and makes garage look stellar. Gladiator has been very durable throughout the years. I've owned various pieces throughout the years and have continued to add. Some of the pieces have gone through to moves and held up strong. Whirlpool keep up the fine service & products!

Color matched screws, wonderful idea! Screws blended right in to the slatted wall.

Love the color match but the screw head could be a little stronger. Had a few strip out while installing. Not too many that I won't get these again though.

It was a bit confusing how many of these are needed for the 8' 2pack of GearWall. The instructions indicate you are to use one per stud in each GearWall slot, which would be 4 screws per stud per 12" GearWall panel. Assuming 16" center studs and you are mounted each end on a stud that would be 7 studs which is 28 screws. So for the GearWall 8' 2pack, it requires 2 packages of these screws. Next these almost certainly require pre-drilling the GearWall AND the stud. I had 2 screws break until I pre-drilled BOTH GearWall and stud. Perhaps the wood in my wall studs are denser than normal, your mileage may vary. For a nice flush look I also found it useful to use a countersink bit to get the head nice and flush in the track; otherwise you have to apply a lot of extra torque to get the head to pull down into the GearWall and you get a wave look as the surround wall is unnaturally pulled so tight. Color matched well. Just know if you are buying the 8' 2pack GearWall you need 2 boxes of these per set of wall you buy. Also plan on pre-drilling and if you have a countersink bit use it for a smooth look.

Recent purchases of screws too often are prone to stripping. And that's after pre-drilling into the gear track and wall stud. In the past didn't have this problem with the screws. Did supplier change? Please address.

By the time you mount the cabinets you'll barely see any of these screws. I was not really cool with the 2" either, went out and got me some 3" and just used these on the ends of the tracks that were exposed.
