Globe Electric 28" Contemporary Heavy Base Architect Black Swing Arm Desk Lamp, 5698601

I really like this lamp. The heavy base instead of the clip-on is a very handy feature. I also like that it is very easy to put together. The ONLY thing I wish it had was a dimmer switch, but the positives far out weight the negatives. Extension arm does so to wherever you need it to go.

I liked everything about it. It's all it said it would be. Am ordering another now for hubby. He loves mine.

Well built stand for great price. I used stand for create overhead webcam for use in small school for projecting printed material onto screen. Stand works great, and at $16 for and overhead camera stand, can't beat it.

There are many desk lamps out there. This particular has an average build quality but it comes at a low price. The on/off switch could have been better but, again, you get what you pay for. It's OK for a kid's first desk lamp but for something that you're going to keep and use for a long time get something more expensive.

I love this product. Only one slight complaint. The shade does not really snap into position well. Its not the best of fit. However apart from that it is a great product that can go up and down to any angle. Just note it will not turn left or right. You have to lift it up by the base to turn it. So because of this and the shad I gave it a 4 out of 5.

Well, the lamp sent was a pink one, but that's okay because it's a pale colour and mostly hidden on the desk. Otherwise, it works just fine. The on/off switch is a vast improvement from some of the other styles I've used. This one is larger and easier to rotate.

The Architect lamp stand (minus lamp) arrived on time and was easy to assemble. Just two springs to add to the cantilever system. The adjuster system was incapable of holding a 1lb weight 4.7” diameter 36W G40 18 LED Red Light Therapy lamp with E27 threaded base. The remedy was to add a 1/10” square threaded nut as washer and tighten onto that to apply sufficient pressure; this allowed the cantilever to maintain the adjustment. The heavy lamp tilts slightly inside the shade so I put a spacer on the bottom.

this item is porly constructed. the knobs does not tighten the light , it keeps moving. the off/on switch works some of the time. I will not buy this item any more.cheap globe

I ordered this as a gift for my partner for his desk. I started to put it together and the set screw for the base will not come out so you can't lock the lamp to the base. I got a pair of pliars and still can't get it out. I think its time for me to stop ordering things from Walmart. Before this lamp, I ordered a love seat and the back of that is warped.

The lamp turn on switch was broken making it impossible to turn the lamp on or off.....The cap that was suppose to cover the post of this broken switch was likewise broken. It had a post also that was broken....The upper part of the lamp is the only part that you can adjust, not the lower part, which is strange because it had springs at its sides like the upper part of the lamp....This company (Globe) evidently has no "Quality Control" or inspectors whose job would have been to make sure the lamps were working before shipping them out.......
