So glad I discovered this. I don't like appliances on my counter and only use a can opener 1-2x a week but is difficult to find a manual that works well. This is great. A very different process and sometimes it takes a couple times to connect opener to the can since it's unusual and opposite of what you usually do with a manual, but it's fantastic and so easy breezy after that. No mess and can opener does not touch the food/liquid... plus no sharp lid.
opened a couple cans of tuna fine. Allows me to put it away in a drawer and put away my electric opener in a cupboard instead of having to leave that out for less-than-monthly cans. not letting this sit unreviewed in my Walmart account long enough to evaluate durability.
We needed a non electric can opener to open the really big can goods and decided on the single handle one which takes up less drawer space. This one is great. It opens the can lids from the side and it doesn't leave sharp edges and the lid sits back down on the can like a top. Great value. Would definitely recommend.
I bought this at the recommendation from a friend. I was complaining about a standard type and needed my husband to open cans for me. This opener requires no excessive hand strength, and it's a breeze to open cans. Only drawback is you can't leave the lid on tuna to squeeze / drain it. Will keep our old opener for that task.
This is a perfect, easy to use can opener. I gave it as a gift to an elderly lady that was able to use it with no problem even though she lacks strength in her hands It has a very non -slip easy grip handle and doesnt require a lot of strength to cut through the lid and cut completely around the can. It also removed the lid so you don't have to dig for it after the can is opened.
I wasn't sure how to use this "new" type can opener, but when I figured it out and seen how clean it was, no sharp edge on can, the lid you can put back on the can, all very impressive. I just bought a second one for a gift. Definitely recommend!
Great product, works as advertised. Easy and safe to use. Spend the extra money and save yourself from getting cut by conventional can openers. Well worth the money!
I originally bought this as a back-up can opener, but I like it better than the one I had. I use this all the time. Well made and works well. Highly recommend.
I was very pleased with this for 3-4 months after my purchase. Then, it stopped working every time. Now it never works. I turn the handle, the wheel turns but the opener does not move along the edge, instead irt shreds the edge of the can . Does not last due to apparently very poor quality.
I used this three times before I decided it would leave very small strips of metal everywhere. The static electricity had metal strips clnging to the plastic nest to the cutting part.. It did not remove the lid completely so I had to pry them off with a pliers.
