Great Deal! Great cameras! Bought two to add onto our other Nest items and are completely satisfied!
Bought 2 weeks ago, very simple to set up and use. Very good quality videos and pictures with two way talk capability. Will purchase 5 days cloud back up recording upon 30 days free trial. Very, very satisfied customer.
Love this camera, it's the third one I have bought at this point. The camera is easy to set up, has a wide lens and has great audio (good for telling my dog to get off the couch). And walmart got it to me in two days. I highly recommend!
Had d-links cameras, bought a new router and could not, for the life of me, get them to connect. thought was, spend more get better camera. These do connect pretty easy. Good picture, good detection and love the two way communication. Downside is paying for the cloud storage instead of microSD card for storing. Only had for a month so will see how they perform over long term.
Very pleased with this camera. I was skeptical at first, but very glad I made the decision to buy one. I think for the price however, it should include a way for it to pan, tilt and such from the app. Subtracting that little flaw, it's not bad at all. I'm very pleased with the clarity as well as the night vision on it. It responds very fast with my internet connection which is not the best. Compared to other security camera's I've purchased in the past, this one responds quickly wireless with about a second or two delay. But that's with my internet connection, other user's internet connection may be better or worse. Option for it to be wire free would be great too. In other words, a internal battery would be great in case you would like to move it to a specific location for a certain amount of time without plugging it into a wall outlet. It'll also be great if it had a slot for an SD card to record footage in case your internet goes out or someone disables your internet. It'll be simple for a thief to just unplug your router to disable the camera/s and that's it for any proof or footage. The subscription plans I believe are ridiculous and painful for those that can not afford monthly payments on top of all the other monthly payments on things they're paying for. An option to record to your phone storage or alternative storage would be ideal and better. Everyone needs money I guess. And that's where they get theirs. I just think they should reduce the price of the camera if they're going to force people to pay for their pricey subscription. Lastly, I wish there was a way to save the recordings to your phone or storage location of your choice. Despite all my wants and needs for it, I'm still glad I purchased it, and think it's a great investment for your home.
Why do so many of these reviews sound like advertising for the product? One says it's a great comfort, next one says the face recognition is great another says installation is easy...just saying. It may be a great product but why all the phony sounding reviews?
This box comes with a camera and power cable only. It's missing the wall mount, screws, and cable clips that are supposed to come with the camera.
The app will continuously spam you asking to sign up for Nest Aware despite it not being required according to the product. Any interaction with the camera (touching screen, picking up phone, moving phone) will cause a large banner to obscure part of the video asking you to sign up. Dismiss and it will just return on any movement/interaction, so basically part of the video is permanently obscured unless you pay a subscription.
Once we disconnected the “nest view” live service, the camera is basically junk and won't connect despite it sharing a wall with our router, essentially take five minutes to even see anything live, and the in between shots never load either
It glitches a lot and you cant hear that great. I though it was my first one acting up but I bought this one 1 month after and its the same issue it could be my wifi not sure but the old camera works great Im returning this one .
