I guess he only con was that I had to add a c wire adapter but once I got it rolling I love the fact that I could turn my shops heater on and off remotely and it integrates with Google nest

My thermostat is down stairs, bedroom upstairs. I can control it from my bed. This is very good when your disabled.!!

Trickier than you might think!
Installing a Nest Thermostat is not as straightforward as one would think. I have probably installed 5 or 6 other thermostats in my days, but they had help features like chat line, or technical support. Surprisingly, nest has non of those features to help you during installation!

Unit's WiFi capability died within 2 weeks of installation. Very disappointed. Because it's tied into the hvac system, it's extremely difficult to replace unless we swap back the old thermostat unit, which is a major pain. Since this was a gift to a non-technical family member in another state, it's a major inconvenience and effectively negated hours of travel and effort to help improve their quality of life.

Dead Battery
This thermostat must have been on the sellers shelf for a very long time because when it was shipped to me it would not hold a charge. Unfortunately for me I was not able to install it until I was leaving for a four month trip and did not have time to return it within the 90 day window so now I have a $90 thermostat that I can't use. Very disappointed .

Didn't work. Walmart.com promised to refund me the money but it didn't happen. I tried 3 times. All said it will credit my account. But that hasn't happened.
