Google Nest Hello Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell

Product delivery was on-time. Was very easy to install and has everything needed included in the box. You use your phone to walk through a series of steps in an installation helper app. Had no trouble at all with the installation and adding the Nest Hello to my wireless network. Comes with an optional 15 degree angled base which is super helpful if your existing doorbell doesn't directly face you as you walk up to the door -- ours is mounted off to a side wall with a line of site which looks across the front of the door. With the angled base installed, the Nest Hello easily picks up the walkway leading to the front door. The video quality is outstanding and is zoomable in the Nest app to a degree that you can even zoom in on a delivery person's name tag. Adding it to my existing Google Home environment was a breeze, it just showed up as an available device and I can ask my Google Hub Max to "show me the front door", a feature I really like because there is no fumbling for the phone when I want to see who is at the door. The only thing that was confusing was that I didn't realize that to enjoy all of the features of the Nest Hello that I needed to also install the free Nest app on my phone. Once I did that I was able to set up zones and specify which alerts (motion, person, package delivered, package removed, etc) I wanted to be notified with. It learns, with your assistance, very quickly who is a 'known' person of your household and will even notify you by their name if you let the app know who they are. All in all, a great purchase and feels so much safer to use than the Ring devices.

google nest products are the best!! we use them in our home. this is the 2nd one we bought one for front door and back. the camera is awesome. i would highly reccomend this google product as well as all the other google nest smart home devices we have if i could rate 10 stars i would!!

The installation was pretty easy the same way the Nest Smart thermostat was. I watched a few youtube videos before I began the installation. The Nest app takes you through a step by step process and it's easy to install. The camera is very sensitive to sound and very clear even at night and thanks to Walmart.com I got it on sale the week when I made the purchase. Overall, great experience I would highly recommend this product

I'm happy now that I have it installed. I've only had it hooked up about a week. Works very well. I had a Nest Account for cameras I already had inside my house. So once I had the wiring figured out and hooked up, adding the camera to my Nest app was very easy. Only thing to be aware of is you may need to upgrade the Doorbell Transformer to one that has a higher voltage. Mine only pumped out 10V, so I needed to change mine to one that had 16V. If your Transformer is connected "directly" to your fuse box, this can be hard to switch out... which mine was. I am not very savvy when it comes to messing with electrical stuff, so this was a challenge for me. But I worked through it with the help of a friend. So DEFINITELY keep that in mind and check the voltage on your doorbell transformer you have hooked up before you buy so you know what you're in for. You might want to think about hiring a professional to change wiring if you are not comfortable with messing with wiring. I now have everything hooked up and so far so good. Good product.

Item was not new. Box was opened and retaped with scotch tape. The QR code on the back of the doorbell did not match the QR code on the envelope of the instruction manual. This leads me to believe that the unit might have been swapped out for another one. Because we weren't able to use the code on the envelope, we had a little difficulty as we had to take the doorbell off after already installing it to scan the correct QR code to setup the app. Aside from this, the doorbell works fine and arrived earlier than originally stated.

Easy set up and works great; only four stars because you have to pay a subscription if you want any video history after your trial of nest runs out. To me there should be at least 24 hours of history included in the cost of buying a video doorbell - the storage is minimal and is cloud based anyway - and the events should be video history, not just a single shot picture (which may or may not show the visitor clearly).

This used to be a good product but Google have destroyed. The software is buggy and unreliable. Nest support is probably the worst i have ever endured. They transfer you all over hoping you hand up or disconnect the chat. Slow and incompetent. Buy the ring instead.

Item was shipped in a bag rather than a box and the Google Nest box came damaged. Why would you do that! In order to return, the Walmart Store will ship it back for me but will not process an exchange because the seller is a vendor! They also will not price match. I have to keep this due to a time crunch

I ordered a NEW Nest doorbell camera from Walmart.com. The camera was shipped in a bag without any protection from damage what so ever, which alarmed me from the start. Things only got worse once I opened the bag to find a dirty doorbell box taped together with scotch tape. I was extremely disappointed to find that the item was indeed not new but USED and had clearly been returned long before I ordered the product.

horrible!!! came with no instructions. looked like it was used did not come in manufacturers box. thought I had another week to return and now the return window appears to be closed. I'm out 180 bucks as I had to replace with "a real Ring doorbell" that came in manufacturers packaging and instructions.
