I like the ecosystem of google nest products. App and device works great
Great camera. Outstanding images. So happy to upgrade to this model. My disappointment was simply the fact that it does not work with nest app. It has to be connected with Google home. I liked the easy of use with the Nest app compared to Google home. Otherwise, excellent product. I also noticed a connection problem with WiFi unlike my Oder model, but eventually, the connection got better. Not really sure what might have happened since there wasn’t any changes with WiFi or location.
The camera is a good quality. I had one before, but this time is the wrong one, but trust me there is spectacular
Was super easy to install, the picture quality is great. Love the choices for seasonal doorbell sounds! My husband just had to watch a short install video and bam it was up and running. would highly recommend!
Well built camera that was a replacement for an Arlo, which never worked properly. The picture angle is not a wide as the Arlo, but it works for a door bell camera. The camera is also very useful without a subscription. It saves 3 hours worth of video shots. You can set it to record everything, or just events (i.e. person, vehicle, animal, etc.), and you can set an active zone, so you are not getting a notification every time a car passes by.
We did not like the camera view the Google nest 2nd generation. It’s more straight ahead, when we had the Google nest 1st generation, it had a better wide angle view. We can’t even see our mailbox with the second generation. With the first generation, we could see our mailbox and some of the neighbors driveway not with this second generation.
one of the most expensive doorbell cameras on the maket and they have turned into total junk! pretty much zero field of vision (less that 1') you see what is literally right in front of the camera and nothing else. I put one on my back door and can barely see the edge of the chair that sits right beside the camera. save your time and frustration and get a cheap one from Amazon; no matter how bad it is, it will be better than this! It took forever to figure out installation with 2 of them because instructions are not accurate. it's so bad I'm uninstalling and returning. I've had the Gen1 on the front for years and it's much better than the Gen2 but I want the same in both so I'll replace it too. it's so bad I'm probably done with Google products period
Three days later, and still way too many error messages. Get a notification and try to play the video only to get a message Couldn't play video, something went wrong, try again." pretty much every time. Sometimes I get a message that says it is offline. Why, it does not say. Way too much work to get the chime to work. I was replacing an old Skybell doorbell, which worked just fine. Will most likely return.
The camera did not work after installation. I have submitted a return request and brought it to my local WalMart but after two weeks, I still didn't get my refund
The video is decent. But the fact that it doesn’t store the video unless you pay a monthly fee, makes it pretty much worthless. I’m in the process of replacing it.
