Google Nest Cam Outdoor Security Camera

This is my 2nd nest cam. My first has performed flawlessly for over 5 years. I hope I'm not jinxing it. Nest tech support helped me set it up. That's a plus. I'd rather shop with Walmart because google lies about their shipping policy.

We love the Nest outdoor camera. It does exactly what it is intended for. The 2-way communication feature is really nice too. And we also love the different notification features. It will notify if there is a person, person talking, dog barking, and other motion.

great picture and sound quality. I haven't mounted it yet. My SO stated that he would like to put this one at our lake house and get a doorbell camera for our house so I guess he doesn't like it. So either I mount it myself or buy a doorbell cam, I guess. I'd recommend it unless you haven't heard of a doorbell camera and that sounds more enticing to you (or your SO). After a neighbor having tiger car stole a we figured it was time to install some cameras. This camera has been able to reunite lost dogs, watch suspicious activity, and capture rain beautifully! We have had no issues with this item at all so we ended up getting one for our backyard, the thermostats, the door bell and an inside camera! No worries over here!

Overall a great camera for outdoor use for the home. I added an additional camera this year and it was very easy to incorporate into the Nest software with the other two Nest cameras.

We tried the Ring product but for us, the Nest is just so much easier to install on your own and virtually no set up. We were up and running in 20 minutes.

I installed this camera about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Very easy installation. Drilled a 1” to 1.5” hole in siding thru wall, mount magnet, attach camera, plug in and download the app and your all set!

I've tried different types of security cameras both game cameras and other wifi cameras. These cameras are not the best quality. I feel these would be a better camera if you didn't need to rely on 110 power. The quality of the video is slightly choppy and the zoom quality is well below par. Part of the problem might be the Wifi signal but the farthest camera in distance from the modem is around 25 feet (through walls). When the internet goes down and when it comes back on it takes a while to reboot the cameras. The good side of the camera is the quality of the video of (other than choppy) is how clear it looks. Some one walking by the house you sometimes see a ghost or one moment they are there then it jumps to where they have passed. The video delay is bad. If a car goes by (what you heard) then a few seconds later it shows up on the video. With all the modern technology you would think these would a better quality. I heard that these cameras are easy to be hacked as well.

Not worth the extra money. The video quality is the same as the Nest Outdoor camera. The only differences are this will digitally zoom in and track people. Along with a louder speaker.

Camera worked for one day but after two weeks unplugged ( waited to install a plug outside and turn on again the camera wouldn't connect to the account ) now my return window is closed and even Google can't figure out how to fix the software. I regret getting an older model since you can't really reset
