There is not nearly as many ads as on the Alexa Echo Show. We switched over and do not regret it one minute. This allows for all the home automation you could want! The Hub acts as a digital photo frame as well, so you can have your family photos from Google Photos showing.

Love the display! I have many Google homes and wasn't sure that I NEEDED a display. But I can say, especially for the bedroom or even kitchen it's pretty cool to have. I can control any device in that room or the house by touching a button and can view YouTube or a movie. I wasn't sure at first, but happy with the addition of this device

You have the best price, hands down. I had one that broke, so we are getting another one. It works with our doorbell and alarm system and quit before it was a year old. Got insurance this time!

I have google speakers do this was an upgrade. I love that I can see my home camera from this item. I also love the sleep sense monitor feature it has. Looking to purchase more and place in house.

Such a great buy. I bought it during Black Friday so it was cheap but we use it to monitor our baby since we got gifted a Google cam from my baby shower and we use it as a monitor. We're able to speak to her, see her, and save the video. Just has a lot of updates

I bought this Google Nest Hub because I'm a fan of the ecosystem, but it seems this one missed its morning coffee. Compared to my other Hubs, the audio isn't quite as crisp—it's like the difference between a live concert and a concert heard through a thick velvet curtain. Navigating the screen is also a bit of a test in patience. It moves with the quiet confidence of a snail who knows it will get there eventually, but isn't in any particular rush. That said, Gemini is still the MVP here. It answers my questions accurately and handles my "lights out" commands perfectly without me having to lift a finger. It's great for a secondary spot where you don't need top-tier sound, but if you're looking for "fast and loud," this one is more "slow and steady." 4 stars for being a reliable, if slightly sluggish, assistant!

This item was used or a display of some kind, in a completely different Asian language and alphabet/letter system. We plugged it in and it was already coded to another language (not English) so it took wayyyy longer for set up, because I had to find multiple YouTube videos of someone setting it up in English and just copy where the went blindly to try and change the language settings. Thankfully YouTube figured it out. Even a hard reset of the device wouldn't take it back to English. It ultimately works as advertised, but was just tricky to set up.

The clock function only works with an active internet connection. If your internet goes out, the alarm doesn't go off. Surprisedly the sleep tracker continues to track without I internet.

I find it really annoying that you can't display AM or PM on the clock. I work very irregular hours so it's actually quite easy for me to lose track of time. Where I live, 5am and 5pm can look the same outside. Sure I can set the clock for 24 hr time but I prefer 12 hr since I'm not in the military and not to mention every other clock everywhere around me is 12 hr. I think “smart“ should mean giving you options since everyone's needs aren't the same and this ain't it.

I bought this primarily to use with some indoor security cameras as a baby monitor. There is a substantial delay of approx 10-15 seconds, which is unacceptable. My phone does not have this delay. Checking online, this seems to be a common issue and not unique to my setup or equipment. So now it's just a glorified speaker, and I'm considering returning it.
