I love this scooter. Trying to create fun things to do during this pandemic so if purchased for my family to scoot around neighborhood for fun. We have rode 10 miles before charge needed. Scooter gets a little slugging when battery gets low but that's expected.

Amazing scooter for the price! I am ~190 lb and this scooter takes me about 12 miles. I have been riding this scooter even with my groceries and still managed to take me home. definitely helpful for the commute. SO far a couple folks approached me while shopping asking for the price I bought. they were surprised by hearing the price!

awesome scooter it comes right on. it was new and well package. it goes up and down hills good. road all over the neighborhood.. for three hours . I really love this scooter. i had people asking me ware did i buy it and how much did it cost. and already two people wanted to buy one and ride on mines . you have one of the best scooter on the market. thank you.

I have had this scooter for over a month now, and have been using it for my daily commute. But before I get into the details, I will start at the beginning. I read alot about the various scooters before buying the Gotrax Rival. Online research said that the Gotrax Rival to be the same as the GXL V2. When my scooter arrived, the box said GXL V2 on the outside (nothing stating Rival). Upon inspection on the bottom of the scooter, it was marked GXL V2. Not only that, the unit I received is the GXL V2 2020 Edition (improved console, battery life and folding mechanism). Setup was easy peasy and the scooter has worked wonderfully. I ride 4 miles to work each way daily; i.e. 8 miles every weekday. While I am still experimenting with the range and speed, the scooter can easily get me to and from work on one charge. At the end of the day, I usually have one bar remaining (on battery indicator). After 150 miles in 4 months, the scooter is still performing great. Only maintenance I have done is put air in the tire (very important so you don't get a flat) and charge. For the price, I really can't complain. But to be fair, there are lots of scary reviews online, 'tho I do not know how many of those are for the GXL V2 2020 Edition. I choose to believe that the 3rd iteration of the GXL is much more reliable. Mine certainly has been! As for the Gotrax customer service ... I did contact them to ask about the charger getting hot. They responded in a couple of days and offered to replace it if desired. Seems like pretty good customer service to me. At the end of the day, are there higher performing scooters out there ... undoubtedly. At the same price range ... I would challenge anyone to find a better scooter for the price. Electric Scooter Guide consistently rates the GXL V2 as a best buy for scooters in this price range.

This is a great little commuter scooter thats easy to set up and easy to use. One thing that you should be aware of however is that there is a weight limit of 220 pounds and someone like me who weighs 212 pounds once I put on clothes and carry a backpack Im getting very very close to the maximum weight limit if not slightly over. So, I would recommend this to just about anybody as long as you are under the weight limit. Now the assembly is very simple However the brake line assembly is a little tricky because I dont think the instructions are clear enough on how to insert the brake line into the handlebars. If you start riding the scooter and find that its not going very fast just know that there is a second gear that will allow you to go faster however that second gear will also drain your battery much quicker. Also when you plug in the scooter make sure that it is actually plugged in properly, the first time I plugged in my scooter and I thought it was properly attached it was not and I didnt have a full charge on the battery when I went to use it.

A good value for the money. Well constructed and nice features. Assembly took minutes. The scooted seems to hold a a cahrge for a long time but I have not exhausted its range to determine the maximum. with a 200 pound rider it feels sturdy and and reaches the advertised 15 MPH.

This thing looks SO cool in person. My boyfriend and I bought these for fun, and let me tell you... they are! The battery lasts so long. They feel sturdy and have amazing power. Even though the limit says 220, my boyfriend is 245 and strong, and this scooter still hits 15mph lol. We don't commute in these, but someone definitely could ! Buy this, you wont regret it. Its the best price and option online right now.

Have purchased four of these one for each member of my family. All four have broken in different degrees plastic fairings on the front wheel have broken and falling off of all four battery on one will only charge up to 2 bars. I have contacted gotrax support numerous times as well as my wife has tried and they are a mess. Extremely rude countless emails back and forth they require you to take pictures of everything and explain everything over and over again. The only saving grace is that we purchase the extended warranty for each one of the scooters. Due to the horrible and deplorable customer service if you even want to call it customer service, we have been unable to get any relief from the cheap quality of the scooters. As far as speed they will go 15.5 miles per hour. You best be on flat ground to get this speed. We recently went to San Antonio Texas and tried them on the Hills and that was a joke. We had to walk the scooters up the hill and as they were going downhill they shook violently. It is a good scooter if you don't use it very much with extended use like daily use, things will start falling apart. Also if you listen to the folks on the internet they will tell you that you need to put solid tires to get more speed, this will not help in the least. These scooters are regulated not to go pass 15.7 miles per hour and that is by far the fastest they will ever go

Initially, we thought the product was great, but after using it a few times the wheel kept on popping out of place, causing the tire to warp/wear on one side. Reached out to support services and they said it's not covered under warranty, which is ridiculous considering it was only a few months post-purchase. Customer service was very slow to respond and not helpful. It's a shame they don't stand behind their product!

This scooter only lasted 1 month. Returns are only with in a month. We got a lemon scooter. It wont charge. Contacted customer support and I had to buy a new $80 battery which did not solve the problem. It is a sturdy and awesome scooter if it ran. It wont even get out of my drive way. :(
