I’ve only been using this walking pad for a week, but so far so good! My favorite part of this model is how easy it is to move it around with the wheels in front. The highest speed I’ve done is 3.5 mph. This model was reviewed by a Running Mag article which is how I found out about it.

Works well for walkers

Bunne January 27, 2026

Have used this GoYouth Under Desk Treadmill for a month and it works very well for walking. It is fine for the length of my stride, but a longer-legged person may find it too short. It would be too small for jogging for an adult. The band moves smoothly, the remote control is easy to use and the whole thing feels sturdy. I am very happy with my purchase. Note that the white upright stand shown in the picture does NOT come with the treadmill.

Great walking pad; AMAZING customer service

Micaela April 21, 2026

Having a walking pad is great for Maine winters - getting my body moving when I'm snowed/iced in has kept me sane. And this model is the winner for me. It's reliable, relatively lightweight and compact. I had this model of walking pad previously. It ran great for almost 5 years before it died - which, for a 2-hundred-something dollar treadmill, seems like a great lifespan honestly. I bought a new one to replace it because I knew I liked the features and quality. The one that arrived had a defective noise, and when I wrote to GoYouth customer service, they were phenomenally responsive and helpful. Seriously, they always replied to my questions within a day, if not hours, and they helped me trouble shoot the noise, and when it seemed like an unfixable problem, they led me through the return process and got me my refund as soon as the package was on its way back to them. I ordered a replacement and my new one works as well as my first. I'm so happy with it. Highly recommend.

I bought as a Wirecutter recommendation and I’m glad I did. I use it in a small space while working at a standing desk. The mute option on the remote is appreciated because the volume on the machine is quite loud. It feels solid and comes with tools and instructions for easy maintenance. The display is well thought out- showing distance, steps, speed, time etc.. It is heavier than I anticipated (which is why it feels so sturdy), but the weight is not an issue because the wheels and handles make it easy to roll into place when in use. It stores easily under my bed when I’m finished with it.

Great portable treadmill for living room use

trekfan9 June 19, 2025

We bought this treadmill to use in our living room since we aren't in a situation to have a full-size permanent treadmill. I read plenty of reviews about "walking pad" treadmills like this one. It got top marks from Rnner's Wrld and I couldn't agree more! The quality is great, it is actually pretty portable with wheels on it, and it leans up against the wall really well for storage. The remote control is sturdy and works well. We highly recommend this treadmill if you have a small space or not in a situation to have a full-size one.

Easy to move solo

Rachel June 15, 2025

So far I am very pleased with this walking pad. It isn’t noisy, I like the remote, and I like that you can mute the pad so you don’t hear noises for adjustments/on and off/etc. I’ve had the pad for about 3 weeks now and just put it away for the first time, which was very easy to do all by myself. The hardest part was getting it out of the box.

4.5/5, only con is steps count even if not on it

Megan December 16, 2025

I've provided a yt link at the bottom covering the review. It does not require the internet to work! It doesn't need an app or wifi or anything, which is so nice these days when washing machines and refrigerators have wifi (???)! It was ready to go right out of the box. I just needed to plug it in and put a battery (provided) in the remote control. They do tell you how to pare the remote with the machine, but mine auto-pared when the battery was inserted. Don't try and pare it without the battery, it wont' work. :) The tread (not including the frame) is 16" by 41". As someone who is 5'5 this is a good size for my stride. The side frame is pretty level with the tread, so if i step wrong i don't trip on it. It's easy to move, has wheels and a handle that's underneath the tread area so you don't trip on it if you walk/step off the back. It does stand up, but unless i'm missing a part, i wouldn't store it that way without additional support or if you have kids/dogs in the house because it's pretty wobbly. But it's only 5.5" tall, so it slides under my couch. My only con is that it can count steps when you're not walking on it, so keep an eye on that. While that is a problem, it won't keep me from recommending the product because it's very easy to workaround it. It is something that you can easily account for once you know about it. Either put it on standby every time you step off of it, or just add steps at the end if you step off to grab the remote or something. You can track it yourself in the steps counter. I purposely chose this model because it comes already assembled. All you have to do is pop the battery into the remote. It worked perfectly out of the box, even though I struggled a little to get the battery into the slot. It works great for the price. My only criticisms are of how difficult it is to move. It has a handle and wheels, so you can move it around on the same level, but it is quite heavy and was exceedingly difficult to pull up a short (5 steps) set of stairs. If the wheels were about twice as big, I think it'd be easier to move. Also, the beeps from the machine are excessively loud; you can mute them, thankfully.

Misleading speed limit (not mph)

Brenna April 8, 2026

I bought this primarily for home office use to walk and get steps in while working at my computer, and for that it functions exactly as needed even though it’s strictly remote controlled (included with batteries). It’s sturdy and sleek with a nifty little low volume Bluetooth speaker that can give you a break from headphones. I find the pause button pretty handy, it pauses your progress indefinitely as long as the power switch is flipped on and you can return right back to it when ready. However, don’t expect this walking pad to offer any versatility as far as speed. The manual, web page, and unit itself all say speed is measured in MPH, as in it tops out at 6 MPH, but my Apple Watch has determined the speed is actually in KmPH, i.e. the top speed on this machine is roughly 3.7 MPH. I am 5’6” with an average stride length and can absolutely get a brisk walk on the top speed. Not good for running, but a great walking pad. Sorry I didn’t think to take any photos while using it, so here it is upright and boxed in my gym corner.

Didn’t work, had to return it

WalmartCustomer May 2, 2025

This treadmill requires a Bluetooth connected remote in order to function. The remote would never enter pairing mode, so the whole thing was useless. I tried contacting customer service for help, and they were also useless. Thankfully, Walmart made it easy to return. I bought a Deer Run brand treadmill instead and am very pleased with it.
