We purchased this 21-quart stock pot for our Day Program kitchen, and it has been exactly what we needed. We prepare meals for large groups during special events, cooking classes, and celebrations, and the large capacity makes it easy to cook enough food for everyone at one time. We have used it to prepare items for our Summer BBQ and other in-house events, and it has performed wonderfully. The pot heats evenly, the lid fits securely, and the sturdy construction gives us confidence that it will last for years. The size is ideal for soups, chili, pasta, baked beans, and other large-batch recipes. It has become one of the most frequently used pieces of cookware in our kitchen because it saves both time and effort when cooking for many people. If you regularly cook for large families, community events, churches, schools, or day programs, this stock pot is an excellent investment. We are extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely buy it again.
I have other Granite Wear pots and they serve their purpose well. Yes they are thin, and can scorch easily, but, after all, it is a STOCK pot. And, when compared to stainless steel or aluminum pots, one can't beat this price for a pot that is only used occasionally and for specific purposes. If using a pot of this size on a regular basis, it would certainly be worth a bigger investment for one that is upwards of $100 or more. For my purposes, which is once a month use, on average, for large family get-together meals, this pot is excellent.
I didn't really realize it was quite this large (lol) but i love it nontheless simply because it's old school kind of cookware.
Excellent piece of cookware. My only issue was the small edge around the cover was very sharp. Other than that it exceeds expectations. A
Excellent item but the information on line about the pot didn't mention that it's not useable on glass stove tops as it could crack the stove top. Had to buy a $60.00 stainless steel 22 qt pot.
My main problem with it is that the website did not explain that it is not flat on the bottom which does not work for my glasstop as that creates hot spots where there is no contact and ruins it's appearance. I returned it right away and therefore do not have any more experience with it.
Well, I didn't order a stock pot, nor did I need a stock pot. I ordered a roasting pan. They serve two very different purposes. Not even sure how the choice was made to offer this as an acceptable swap. Driver was rude. Customer service was not helpful. Also, I didn't approve the substitution as I couldn't find How to do so via the text notification I received so the website was complete and utter trash as well. Do not recommend Walmart to anyone.
Ruined my stove. There was a bubble or something in the finish that caused a sharp, unfinished part on the bottom of the pot which scratched up my stove. I guess on a gas stovetop it may be fine, but not on electric.
It claimed to be non-stick, but the very first time I used it, even at a constant stir, food absolutely stuck!
In the advertisement it shows a metal rack that comes with it. The item was not in a box or secure by noting but a piece of tape on lid. I was very disappointed. NO RACK.
