This is an excellent product, especially if you are watching your fat intake. It has no real flavor, keeps food from sticking, and I've never had the bottle or sprayer clog. Frankly, I have had the brand name clog, so I actually find this product superior. It also comes in an olive oil variety if yo7 want that flavor.
I grew up using Crisco oil in almost everything that hit the frying pan. I enjoyed the taste and flavor of my foods it left when using it. I've been using this Canola Oil spray lately because of the price and the crispness of the food when using it. For me it doesn't have a certain flavor or taste, it's more of a neutral flavor. I also found out it can withstand higher temps depending on what you're cooking. I like that it spreads out evenly when it's heated and coats the food nicely. It's not one of those higher‑priced fancy oils that cost as much as a meal, but it gets the job done for me without any complaints. Tastes great, cheap in price, has a neutral flavor, and leaves food tasting great. I think I read somewhere this stuff is suppose to be good for you, Walmart's little icon next to it says so for sure.
I love this Canola in a spray can and GV costs much less than name brands. I make sure to have a spare can in the pantry. Although I do use regular Canola oil, along with a couple of others, this is great when you just don't want something sticking to the pan, but don't want to waste oil. I've never had it clog up, it sprays right where you want it and the flavor is just like from the bottle.
For what you get this is perfect and price and value. I highly recommend getting this brand. It is perfect for what I need and I know it would be perfect for everybody else. Don't pay the higher cost just because you think it might be better because I guarantee that this brand Walmart brand is absolutely perfect for what you need it for.
These oil cooking sprays are great. They help control how much oil you use when cooking and are great for targeted sprtizing like on salad or corn on the cob.
I use Great Value canola spray usually to prepare eggs, whether sunny side, over easy, or scrambled eggs. It doesn't leave the eggs greasy and the food slips out of the pan leaving no mess. Allowing for easy clean up.
I use GV Canola Oil a lot because I do not fry food. I bake everything in my oven or toaster oven or air fry it. I line a baking sheet or the toaster oven tray with aluminum foil. If I am baking in the oven, I also use a rack which I coat with the spray. I coat the chicken, fish or pork chops with a light coating of seasoned bread crumbs then give a light spray of the cooking oil over it. My food comes out browned and delicious, but not drenched in oil. I also use the spray if I am cooking scrambled or over-easy eggs. The canola leaves no taste, just keeps things from sticking to a pan or helping lightly-coated protein to brown. The can seems to last forever.
This product seems to be a good quality for the price. I don't notice any taste with it. It does keep food from sticking to pans and casserole dishes, allowing for easier cleanup.
