There's so many ways to use this can of chicken. i make chicken Al King , and i make a chicken sandwich with mayo and sour cream and salt and pepper on a sourdough bread. chicken and different veg like cucumber and Jalapeño and can of carrots and peas and tomatoes a little bit of mayo and sever it on a tostada all of this are great 😋
A lot of people over the years have turned their noses up to canned chicken in my presence but when you are young and you don't know if you are going to have the means to cook fresh chicken and you've received canned chicken in food baskets as a gift ya learn to appreciate it more! I'm older now and I struggled some early on and I definitely find GV canned chicken to be just as much something to be considered a gift! Just Sayin'!
Great Value Chicken Breasts are my "go-to" item for adding as the cooked meat choice for many main-dish recipes, like Pastas or Gumbos or Jambalayas. You can add it right out of the can, water and all. The Chicken flavor is unbeatable and the chunk size is just right for most recipes that call for cooked chicken.. It's also great for making chicken salad for sandwiches: Chop up some onion and celery, drain and flake the Great Value Chicken Breasts, add some celery seed and dry mustard, stir in some mayonnaise, and voila, you've got chicken salad for your sandwich.es.
Ive purchased different brands of can chicken and for the price to me Great value is the best, large chunks of white chicken, taste just like the other brands. I just this to make chicken salad, add to ramen, make chicken pot pies when i dont want to mess with cooking chicken or pick a rotisserie chicken.
Great product when you don't feel like slaving over a hot stove to actually boil chicken when you can buy it and they can granite it doesn't have a lot of flavor to it, but you can tell it's chicken but if you're a cook, you know how to season it up. I use it for chicken salad sometimes I eat chicken spaghetti with it, etc.. I know some people turn their nose up to store brand items, but sometimes the generic tastes better than the real thing.
I have the option of 2 locations available to that are equally spaced from my home. As the customer I feel I should be able to choose which store takes AND delivers my orders. Walmart doesn't believe this and they take the order in one of the locations and delivers from the other location. Findlay Super Center on Trenton Ave. is my favorite store because I used to work around the corner before memberships had value and pick up my groceries on Friday on my way home. They still take my order BUT now ONLY Bowling Green Store can deliver my groceries. They do not always delivery people. I have tried to bring the light to this issue BUT to no avail. Maybe I should shop at Kroger's or Meijers. I love Freeway on %26 off access to the Findlay's Super Store. Everything else is get off the freeway and drive 15 miles to the other side in city traffic. I shouldn't have to do that, at this stage in life. I live with in 1/2 mile to Freeway on ramp and the Findlay store is 1/2 mile from the off ramp. This is my only issue since 2010 when I relocated back to Ohio. This is the best grocery experience in a long life and residences in 17 different states across this country.
If I'm gonna be honest, I have always purchased the Tyson brand of this canned chicken breast, when I saw the huge price difference in the great value brand and the other brand, it just about, knocked me over, I decided to purchase the great value brand and I could not believe it! It is the same or even better than the Tyson brand, I will definitely give it five out of five stars on everything and I promise that I will continue to purchase the great value brand.
My last order WAS NOT DELIVERED due to no driver... biggest mess ever. And i was over charged on my bank account !!! The guy that was trying to help me when I called in should be fired !!! Didn't speak English well at all, had a child screaming in the background, was supposed to cancel my ENTIRE order but didnt... only the items coming from Walmart !!!
I've been using this literally for years. The last 2 purchases have made me incredibly sick. Won't buy this anymore. The stomach issues this caused landed me in the ER. This product has taken a serious nose dive. Absolutely never buying it again. Don't recommend!
This was a quality control fail. Half the can was unusable due to veins, blood vessels, bone, etc. absolutely disgusting. The picture doesn't even show how gross it was, also, this was what I pulled out while I was cooking it (in a pan by itself), it doesn't even show the parts I pulled out when I opened it and threw in the trash.
