I love that you only need to add water Thin batter makes good waffles. I have been trying for many years to equal the taste and texture of my sister's waffles even after getting her recipe but I could not until I got this mix and added two eggs. I added the eggs because my sister always put many eggs in her batter. I usually made my waffle batter thick but with this batter it is better to make it thin. I finally got the taste I loved from this batter and twi eggs After so many years of trying my waffles finally tasted like hers; may she rest in peace.

I like this mix I use it for multi-purpose you can use to make muffins pancakes waffles very simple to mix and prepare I like the fact that you could use water not milk although it does taste better with milk or if you want to try something completely different try using eggnog instead of water. for the price this is one of the most decent batters I found for generic

as good as the national brand but not as expensive if you want to make the pancakes just a little lighter and fluffier use milk instead of water although it is not necessary

This mix makes light and fluffy pancakes. I put butter on them while they are still warm and then smother them in syrup. It doesn't get much better than this for a breakfast any time of the day.

What a great quality product, this makes tender fluffy pancakes. So easy to make and one simple ingredient. They come out of the pan hot and fresh. They taste so good with melted butter and sweet syrup.

Perfect for pancakes and waffles and so much more. It makes a really nice coating for deep fried fresh fruits like strawberries. Excellent with butter, for cooking, for any occasion.

Honestly, I love the pancake mix. I made pancakes and waffles from this mixture. My kids love it and they ask for it all the time and it's easy to make. I will buy again and recommend this to everyone.

this is surprisingly tasty. I was happy, honestly it tastes just like the Red box you know. give it a try if you don't like it it was only the cost of a cup of coffee.

I am very please with the GV Pancake %26 Waffle Mix. I found a terrific recipe online for one pan oven baked pancakes and this mix doesn't taste like a compromise for the convenience. Whether I have time to flip single pancakes pancakes or need to get a full breakfast on the table in a hurry-up I've found that I can depend on consistent performance with this product. BTW, when I say "full breakfast" on the table in a hurry-up, it's a 30 minute from start to finish affair. - - - - - - First and foremost, this mix cooks up light and fluffy every time; so long as the batter is lightly mixed and typically a bit lumpy rather than smooth. Over beating leads to deflated cakes that are often gummy in the middle regardless which mix you use and even if you work from scratch. - - - - - - I think the buttermilk is another key element. It's just the right touch and I don't really notice until I have cakes from a basic pancake mix. It took a minute to understand why I prefer the buttermilk mix because the 'little something' is subtle that satisfies the senses without announcing itself. - - - - - - I strongly recommend keeping some frozen GV blueberries in your freezer for the buttermilk pancake mix. I add a dash of cinnamon and touch of nutmeg along with a liberal sprinkle of still-frozen berries to my cakes; they're a favorite breakfast or dinner choice around here. - - - - - - This is a good mix that's reasonably price. Look online for "oven baked pancakes bhg" for a terrific recipe using this mix, you'll be glad you did! I pop a pan of bacon (sausage is good, too!) on a rack into the oven 10-min. ahead of the pancakes. I quickly follow the bacon with my buttered muffin tin that has an egg in each compartment according to the number that we need, then I slide the pancake mix in for the finish, they only need 10-12 minutes. The entire meal cooks in 20 minutes without constant oversight, turning, and adjusting. It's a great way to kick start the weekend or wind down a hectic day. - - - - - - The GV pancake mix is reliable and affordable, too. I that part!

This mix was much better than I expected given the low price. The preparation was easy. They cooked up to a pleasing brown fairly easily in a skillet, though it takes a bit of practice to get the right amount per pancake so they don't all spread out and connect. My only issue is with the flavor, which is just a bit off. It takes more just sour than like buttermilk. This shouldn't be surprising given that there is very, very little buttermilk in them; there is less buttermilk than salt in the ingredients, and they certainly aren't salty.
