It looks great, smells good and tastes great too. Great Value brand is also cheaper and is perfect for me. Thank you for another great organic choice!

Not too expensive or very tasty

Eater January 20, 2017

Compared to Libby's non organic or Great Value non organic in 29 oz can size, this is more expensive but not twice as expensive [often "organic" costs two or three times as much which in my estimation is a rip off, should be about 50% more at most]. Pumpkin is not the most or least sprayed food, so non organic may well be healthy, especially if you can't spare the cost for organic when you need to spend on other items. Cost for this is slightly but not much less compared to what Amazon offers Farmers Market Organic Pumpkin, 15 Ounce (Pack of 12) [$2 a can]. However the one can I tried [canned food can vary from can to can so maybe this stuff is better or worse than what I say] lacked sweetness, lacked much pumpkin or squash taste, and had a trace of the "sandy" texture noted in other review--this compared to Great Value or Libby's Pumpkin 29 oz can. One comment about BPA. Almost ALL cans made in recent decades have epoxy lining with BPA--or other equally or more harmful chemicals called "BPA free"--so "BPA free" adds no safety and often increases price. Decades earlier the cans were coated with tin [metal]--this is why they are called tin cans. The tin leached into the food and could add metallic taste and was almost certainly at lower levels than would cause health problems. So now we have more toxic material used, albeit maybe in low quantities if you aren't pregnant or child, and the can exterior rusts more quickly than when tin was used. Progress. If you are concerned and eat lots of canned food, one way to help is to stop eating canned food for several days or a week every so often-supposedly the BPA is water soluble and is eliminated from the body in a few days. So, if you have to have "organic" this is a contender, but maybe not the best flavor bet.

Slammed and Crushed Cans

Aj May 10, 2025

I'm not sure what the shopper was thinking, but both cans that I received looked like they had been rolled over and were crushed on all sides. They looked like the cans that would be returned. This is organic and costs more, so more care should have been taken when choosing the cans...Just Saying! Would have given this less, but 1 star ia the lowest option.

Product changed

Tera September 3, 2024

The cans and pumpkin have changed. They are no longer sourced from the USA, but China. The quality control is terrible. The new can we received was discolored, smelled bad, and not even the pets would eat it. The lids are also not pull-back anymore, which is fine, but the rest is not. Will likely return these, and definitely purchase elsewhere from now on.

This canned pumpkin tastes horrible. Thumbs down.

Sharon November 9, 2023

I bought this for pies and as a supplement for my pets. I couldn't understand why they wouldn't eat their food after I'd mixed some in like I've been doing for 15 yrs. So... I decided to taste it and it's the most horrible pumpkin puree I've ever had. It doesn't even taste like pumpkin and it's extremely bitter. Save your money and your tastebuds and buy a name brand product.

DENTED CAN

Jan September 1, 2021

one can of organic pumpkin was dented and lable was partially torn off. The torn lable was not in the box so it had to have been torn off before someone boxed it
