Great Value Organic Chili Powder, 2 oz

I ordered 4 chili powder but I received only 3

I've been using the organic chili powder for years. The original ingredients were CUMIN, PAPRIKA, ANCHO CHILE POWDER, OREGANO, and GARLIC. The new batch has added CINNAMON, ALLSPICE, CORIANDER, and CLOVES which has completely destroyed the chili powder taste. The ingredient changes also were not posted anywhere, so an entire batch of chili was ruined because it tasted like cinnamon. Really disappointed and will have to switch to a new brand after all this time.

this has been my go to for years. this last bottle has a cinnamon smell and slight cinnamon in the flavor. ingredients do not have cinnamon listed so it may be the cloves. it's awful, my whole pot of doup and a cinnamon taste. I had my son smell it and he said it does have a cinnamon type smell.

I have been buying this chili powder for years. This last one I purchased is overwhelmingly cinnamon and cloves. That's all I can taste in my chili. I'm very disappointed with the change.

Literally tastes and smells like straight up cinnamon. I've bought this before, but they must've changed it. It's not even like it's the last ingredient either… DO NOT GET!! Ruined my ground beef.

Great Value- you need to check your manufacturing of this Chili powder! I've used it for years and this bottle was VERY cinnamon forward. Use by 1/30/2029 and lot 174074. Another reviewer mentions this as well.

We used to always buy the organic chili powder from Great Value, the heavy addition of coriander to the blend makes the entire spice smell like Indian food; the finished product even worse. I don't want Indian tacos man

The chili I preferred wasn't in stock. So I tried this. I season a lot of soups with chili powder and I did not like this.

I like this brand, because of the freshness. It taste and smells like it was just made. That is what I like about using glass jars it keeps the freshness in and doesn't seep out.

This WAS my favorite chili powder for years - a great combo of flavors with a bit of heat. I recently bought a new bottle (Sept 2026) and made chili. My husband kept asking me if I tasted cinnamon (I did) and teased that I must have accidentally put in cinnamon (I didn't). We checked the bottle and what do you know... cinnamon! I'm sad I have to find another chili powder brand. I hope they go back to the old recipe.
