I've bought this maple syrup numerous times already. It's delicious, sweet, pours thin, and it is pure maple syrup. I use it on a variety of foods and even bake with it. It's a good quality syrup and the price is great too. The bottle is easy to pour from and easy to seal. Definitely a go to for maple syrups and will continue to use.
I had no idea maple syrup came from maple trees. I just assumed little bottles magically appeared on grocery store shelves every spring. Then I learned the truth: we're out here drilling holes in trees and collecting their sap. Now all I can think about is the poor baby maple trees. What are they supposed to eat if we keep borrowing their breakfast? Somewhere in the forest there's a tiny sapling asking, "Mom, where's the syrup?" and all the adult trees just point toward the pancake aisle at Walmart. Fortunately, the syrup itself is excellent. Rich maple flavor, not overly sweet, and it makes pancakes, waffles, and French toast infinitely better. It's the real deal, and you can absolutely taste the difference compared to imitation syrup. I'll continue buying it, but I do feel a little guilty every time I pour it. Hopefully the trees get a nice tax deduction or at least a free stack of pancakes for their contribution. Five stars.
Love this maple syrup, has a great taste. I bought it to use in a cake recipe but continue to use on other things. You do have to keep refrigerated, as noted on bottle, but it doesn't get sugary around top of bottle, or too thick. A little goes a long way, for me.
Great taste! I had always ordered the expensive Vermont Maple Syrup from Vermont. Read the reviews here. They were pretty good so I thought I would take a chance. This product tastes just like the expensive Vermont Maple Syrup. Thank you Walmart!!
We've gone through a LOT of maple syrups over the years, and this one has become our go-to. I originally grabbed it because of the price, not expecting much, but it honestly surprised me in the best way. First off, it's actually real maple syrup (not the fake pancake syrup stuff), which matters to us. You can taste the difference right away. It has that classic maple flavor—slightly rich, a little earthy, not overly sugary or artificial tasting. It's sweet, but not in that overpowering, syrupy way that some cheaper brands have. We use it on everything—pancakes, waffles, French toast—and it just works. It soaks in nicely without being too watery, but it's not super thick either. Kind of that perfect middle ground where it pours easily and still gives you that satisfying drizzle. The kids love it, and we don't feel like we're loading them up with a bunch of fake ingredients. Another thing I appreciate is the size. The 8 oz bottle is perfect if you don't go through syrup super fast or just want something fresh. With pure maple syrup, once it's opened you're supposed to keep it in the fridge since it doesn't have preservatives, so having a smaller bottle actually makes a lot of sense. Flavor-wise, I'd say it leans more toward a classic, balanced maple taste—not super dark and bold, but definitely not bland either. It's a good everyday syrup that doesn't feel like a “budget compromise.” Honestly, if you put this out for guests, no one would question it. If I had to nitpick anything, it's that we go through it pretty fast—especially on weekends when we're making big breakfasts. But that's more of a “we like it too much” problem than anything else. Overall, this has become a staple in our house. Great taste, clean ingredients (literally just maple syrup), and a solid value for the price. We keep coming back to it.
I was surprised how much I liked this strip. Great Value products still surprise me. Most are just as good as premium brands. Great Value Maple Syrup is a little thinner than I'd prefer, but the flavor made up for it. So good with pancakes and sausage.
I was looking for the brand I grew up with. (Golden Eagle). This was the closest I'm appearance. It was a close 2nd to what I remember to have with buttered biscuits. A somewhat lighter alternative to regular pancake syrup.
Love this syrup. We don't use a lot of syrup so buying bigger containers for the best price wasn't worth it in the long run. It would go bad before we could use it up. This small size is perfect and the flavor is good.
I used eat maple syrup all the time, when I was a kid. It was a regular thing and not so expensive. The flavor and consistency seemed a little thin, based on my memory. However, I do think the flavor of this was good and the consistency fair. I would buy it again, for special recipes
This Maple syrup is not bad, but the maple flavors were hardly discernible. I purchased this for recipes that I want to make. I tried it on one recipe and the maple flavor disappeared. Might be better off using as pancake syrup only.
