Great Value Pure Maple Syrup, 8 fl oz

I love this product. I use itb to sweeten my kids coffee, peanut butter sandwich and oatmeal. It's versatile and effective. My husband also uses it because it's low glycemic in moderation. We have bought multiple times, and I plan to continue. I appreciate that it's not processed and my kids can enjoy it.

I usually don't buy this item in generic or store brands because of ill perceived notions the quality is not as good. Thanks to budget restraints, I am happy to report that my default bias against store brands being lesser quality has been disproven. The Great Value Pure Maple Syrup exceeded my expectations by far as I found the syrup to be of full flavored and rich tasting. I will definitely be placing this item among my list of regular items that I buy monthly, and best part, is I'm enjoying the luxurious taste of Pure Maple syrup, at a ‘ Great Value'. I love this syrup. It is a bit thin in texture and consistency but real maple syrup is like that and as you should keep real syrup in the fridge that will help to keep it a bit more on the thicker side. But as I don't go for the fake syrup in my house I love this and it is a good price point for real maple syrup. As I grew up in NH I can be kind of a syrup snob and this is pretty good and ok since I am on a budget. Good overall

I used to not be a fan of pure maple syrup, but Great Value Pure Maple Syrup changed that for me. I add it to breakfast pancakes, waffles, french toast, and muffins. It is also great tasting cooked in sweet potatoes, cakes, and cookies. It adds a smooth sweet taste to food making it a treat to eat.

The taste of real maple syrup was lost long time ago. Seemed like everyone was making their own maple syrup, and getting their own false taste. 5 years or so ago I was visiting my son and family.. Breakfast was pancakes. "Hey, where did you get this syrup?" "Isn't that good?" "From where?" "Look at the label." "I don't believe it; says it's real... must have cost a week's pay." "It ain't cheap, but not bad. It's really good, hum?" "Yea, it'll be at the top of my next shopping list"

I originally grabbed it because of the price, not expecting much, but it honestly surprised me in the best way. First off, it's actually real maple syrup (not the fake pancake syrup stuff), which matters to us. You can taste the difference right away. It has that classic maple flavor—slightly rich, a little earthy, not overly sugary or artificial tasting. It's sweet, but not in that overpowering, syrupy way that some cheaper brands have. We use it on everything—pancakes, waffles, French toast—and it just works. It soaks in nicely without being too watery, but it's not super thick either. Kind of that perfect middle ground where it pours easily and still gives you that satisfying drizzle. The kids love it, and we don't feel like we're loading them up with a bunch of fake ingredients. Another thing I appreciate is the size. The 8 oz bottle is perfect if you don't go through syrup super fast or just want something fresh. With pure maple syrup, once it's opened you're supposed to keep it in the fridge since it doesn't have preservatives, so having a smaller bottle actually makes a lot of sense. Flavor-wise, I'd say it leans more toward a classic, balanced maple taste—not super dark and bold, but definitely not bland either. It's a good everyday syrup that doesn't feel like a “budget compromise.” Honestly, if you put this out for guests, no one would question it. If I had to nitpick anything, it's that we go through it pretty fast—especially on weekends when we're making big breakfasts. But that's more of a “we like it too much” problem than anything else. Overall, this has become a staple in our house. Great taste, clean ingredients (literally just maple syrup), and a solid value for the price. We keep coming back to it.

I used eat maple syrup all the time, when I was a kid. It was a regular thing and not so expensive. The flavor and consistency seemed a little thin, based on my memory. However, I do think the flavor of this was good and the consistency fair. I would buy it again, for special recipes

I appreciate that this product is true maple syrup and not some overly processed and sugary “pancake syrup”, I have to say that this isn't a top quality syrup. However, it is an excellent value for the price. So yes, I recommend it for those of us who must balance our expectations with our financial realities.

For a "discount" item, it was good. It's a little watery for my taste which to me suggests it's very thinned out. Careful of the pour or your waffles will swim. I would love to see a little stronger consistency, but with two girls who make waffles and pancakes about every other day, I'll take watery at a discount. Decent flavor. I encourage my girls to experiment with spices to make it as flavorful as the higher more "designer" maples. A mason jar, cheese cloth wrapped spices like cinnamon and vanilla sticks, and the maple over a couple days-yummy.

Really didn't like this syrup. I've been buying the cheap stuff all my life and I'll just keep going with that, this fancy stuff had little flavor and left an aftertaste that I can't even describe. The bottle is nice tho, I can appreciate the nice packaging! And it smells good too. I just didn't like how it tasted.
