This is slightly less tart and slightly more sweet than the type without the red coloring. These things are accomplished by adding apple juice and beet juice however so no decreased quality. My family prefers this and I prefer the more tart version. Either way excellent quality.

Great Value Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, 64 fl oz, delivers a naturally sweet, tangy kick that quenches thirst and wakes up the taste buds. Perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, or any time you need a fruity pick-me-up, this ready-to-drink juice comes in a family-size, easy-to-pour container. Vibrant in color, flavorful, and free from added sugar, it's a yummy, healthy choice that pairs well with meals or snacks. Convenient, shelf-stable, and kid-friendly, it's an everyday essential I would definitely buy again.
Grapefruits can be sweeter or more sour depending on the individual fruit. While I've had the occasional sweet one, they are usually a little more sour. So any grapefruit juice is going to be at least a little more sour than sweet. And that is the case with this juice. It's actually got more apple juice than grapefruit juice. I think this would make it more sweet than it otherwise would be. But even with the apple juice it still tastes like grapefruit juice and is more sour than sweet. But if you like grapefruit then you will like this juice. Just realize that it's more on the sour side. I can definitely recommend it.
I bought this kind of juice instead of the orange juice, because the orange juice, though good, it was in a 'supposed gallon,' yet the so-called 'gallon' of orange juice was smaller than it claimed, and it was costing too much, so I switched to this juice, and bought 2 of them for a reasonable price. This was simply delicious, that I added a THIRD bottle to my subscription! It really tastes great!
A favorite in our home! The "brand name" item is no better tasting, though a higher price. Both are higher in price than they should be; however, that seems to be the overall food issue now. It's a shame! My husband is the main person who wants this ordered with every grocery run. Thank you
Although I thoroughly enjoy the taste of this red grapefruit juice, I'm alarmed about how many grams of sugar there are. I think it would be just delicious if it were less sweet..
I have been drinking Ruby Red Pink Grapefruit juice for years and it was obvious that you mixed Ruby Red with regular grapefruit juice in this one. I used to order Great Value Ruby Red all the time in Columbia, mo, but you didn't have it here, ...so when you actually had some in stock here, I bought it....BUT, sorry, not up to the quality you used to have.
I received this grapefruit juice expired. The juice is extremely dark and murky and should not be consumed. It probably is infected with E. coli and other bacteria from the looks of it. I don't know how long it's been on Walmart shelf. Evidently. it's been there more than a year and is being sold to consumers like this, which can be deadly. I plan on returning this item. I'm also becoming very leery of Walmart items. It's getting very scary. I have grandchildren and would not want to harm them with food-borne illnesses because quality control isn't properly monitored as should be at Walmart.
Gross! I love grape fruit just and have bought the Florida's Natural and Ocean Spray brand before. I thought I would try the great value brand to save a little money but it was gross. It tastes like an apple juice mixed with grapefruit juice. I checked the ingredients and sure enough the first ingredient is apple juice. Why? If I wanted apple juice I would have bought it. I will not be buying this again.
