We love carrots as a side dish with our means. We always pour the clear liquid off of our veggies that are canned and either add our own water or just butter to them and butter it is for carrots. Everyone seasons them to their taste either with salt and pepper or sugar or honey and a little cinnamon
Never in my life have i craved canned carrots…until now. I'm on chemo and can't have raw vegetables…I wanted vegetables so badly I started eating canned carrots and these are amazing. I heat them up, sprinkle some salt and they are ready to go. I'm sure that they would be better in a recipe, but, I'm enjoying as is. Perfect!
Can't say I have used very many brands of canned carrots, or that I even use canned carrots very often. I like them fresh, though I have found being semi-disabled that the prep time and cooking to get them soft can be a pain depending on what I am makeing. Canned carrots are almost a godsend for me at time, and these, although the only brand I have really tried, are perfect in flavor and tenderness. Given the price is sooooo much cheaper than any other brand, I don't plan to try any other brand. why ?
i get canned vegetables and frozen vegetables to steam in microwave for my baby girl 4 legger. I drain, rinse, drain, rinse, drain. with hot water because it warms canned vegetables enough for my dog, has more of an aroma, and lowers the sodium used for canned goods. I make a mixture for her. She likes carrots, green beans, peas, and mixed. every other day, i add a few tablespoons of 100% plain pumpkin for extra digestive comfort, fiber, moisture, %26 immune system support. She watches every move I make when feeding her.
I love these carrots. I hate that Walmart limits you to only 12 cans per purchase. I live a long distance from the store and buy in bulk. Walmart's limit per purchase is ridiculous, It makes me want to buy all my food at Winco!!!
I use these carrots to mix in with my dogs homemade meals and they love them. I mash the carrots up and mix it right in with meat and rice and it's a lovely complete meal. I buy them regularly.
My husband has lost many of his teeth but can thoroughly enjoy these tasty carrots because they are so tender! He is always happy to see them on the counter as I prepare meals, knowing how good they taste and how easy it is for him to EAT THEM!!!
Down one star because a couple times a couple slices of carrots had the stem or root in them. No big deal you just pick those out and everything's ok. But, seems like quality control is lacking with a few of Walmart brand products. This old guy says if you find some minor or major problems maybe say something? Okay, nuff preachin'.
The cans are layered 12 to a tray, one tray on top of the other, wrapped in plastic. And somehow, every single can is dented. Cans in the very middle are dented! Dented cans are dangerous food and can't be used. Now I need to return them all. Whatever small savings I got for buying a pack of 24 is not worth it.
9 cans moderately dented. In addition, there were 3 cans _severely_ dented (afraid to use). Should have not foisted such damaged to the customer. Is this what they do with items not suitable for store shelves? Gives wal-mart a bad image, IMO.
