I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ! NOW IF I COULD GET THE SHOPPER TO JUST PAY ATTENTION %26 GET THE RIGHT ONE THEN ID BE HAPPY. I'M SO SICK OF ORDERING AN ORDERING AND ORDERING THIS SOUP AND HARDLY EVER RECEIVING IT EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IT'S IN STOCK PEOPLE JUST DON'T APPLY THEIR SELF IT'S AGGRAVATING
Honestly I bought a different label of tomato soup for my husband. They messaged me that they were out of it and would be substituting it for their brand. My husband said just fix it and WOW WAS HE SURPRISED . After eating their tomato soup , he told me just to buy him this one from now on. He said it has taste to it and the other one didn't. Now I order Walmart brand because that's what he wants. This substitution is one that paid off . It's his favorite!!!
My fav soup containing a wonderful bacon flavor with bacon pieces. It is condensed which means you add a canfull of water. It is so full of flavor, I add a drained %26 rinsed can of beans. Black beans or garbanzos are good. Also, finely chopped cooking greens like spinach or kale are great to stir in while simmering the soup on low heat. For a special change, add a dollop of sour cream on top when serving!
This soup is yummy. I have eaten it for lunch or dinner. The can size is a great serving size for one person. I am single so I don't cook as much as before. If I am on the go and want something fast, I just eat this soup. Add a few crackers to dip or crush in it and you are good.
I used this for a base to make a quick homemade tasting soup. I cut up carrots and onions and fried them in a little olive oil to soften them. I then added a small can of great northern beans and the can of bean soup with a full can of water. This was the best soup for a quick meal. It tasted homemade and my husband thought I cooked all day! Winner recipe for sure
This is as good as any name brand canned soup, so why spend the extra money. I'll keep buying it as long as the quality stays the same. It has the flavor of childhood. I don't know if you've noticed, but the name brand version of this has added a lot more MSG and it shows in the flavor. They did it to reduce the sodium level, and I praise the attempt, but it literally ruined the flavor. This version doesn't have that MSG off putting taste that I associate with the name brand now.
I liked it. Of course, it was not homemade, but few people know how to make Beef and Barley soup, right. I have not made it in quite a long time myself. It was so good in this cold weather, and I was glad I had purchased more than one. Soup and saltines really hit the spot!
Soft palatable not salty. My personal favorite is to add Bay Leaf, parsley(dried or fresh), fresh ground black pepper, and nutritional yeast, these boost the broth flavor and because pasta is not desired for health reasons, the barley has more nutritional value.
Sodium nitrite when heated causes an extremely well known cancer risk group1. Processed meats are known to cause cancer at comparable rates of smoking. Red meat does not cause the same spike in cancer rates. It's the preserves when heated that cause an enormous risk to colon cancer which can cause multiple cancers very easily.
I'm sure the soup is okay, although it tastes too fake and salty and must really be watered down. It's generic; it's what you get when you buy condensed soup... The problem is WALMART!!! It is impossible to do business with this company. I place orders on-line and WalMart CANCELS it within 10 seconds and then HOLDS MY MONEY for 3-4 days. This, after I had signed up for "free" delivery -- which I can never get, because every second or third grocery order I place is CANCELLED. Additionally, orders that are shipped are delivered to the wrong address; or, tossed out on the sidewalk in the downtown area where I live; or, just not delivered at all. I can no longer drive, so all of this is more than just an "inconvenience". So, good luck calling WalMart customer service to resolve any issues !! You will be trapped in an AI purgatory FOREVER. I have finally given up on WalMart. I will pay more and get it from Amazon, or take a risk and buy it from E-Bay. Because I am SICK of this company.
