GreenCo Marble Mortar and Pestle, White, Gray (4.5")

I only grind spices in small amounts so the size works well for me ....there are grooves on the side that make the grinding easier you just slide the pestle down the edges and it does a fine job grinding .... yes a coffee grinder would be easier but I like the authenticity of this from my Curries! The company was very prompt in delivering and the mortar and pestle are of high quality .... but if you're looking to grind large quantities of spices you might want a larger one but this works fine for me .

I have looked for a good marble mortar and pestle for some time and was so happy to find this one. I was tired of using a metal bowl and the back of a spoon. This holds more than you would think.

It works well for my needs. Crushes the spices well. So, I use it to crush mexican oregano, pepper corns, garlic, and cumin seeds. Just the right size for me, price was ok.

Beautiful marble palm size mortar . pestle is comfortable to hold and use. the marble is heavy and smooth. grinds dry catnip to a fine powder,,,what i got it to do. i think it would work as well, or better , as any set , on anything. i recommend.

This is very heavy and well made. It works great in grinding my herbs for cooking or my leaves for tea. The color is as it looks. This one is very large, you may not need one this big if you only use a few herbs at a time.

I bought this for my son-in-law for Christmas. I really like the grooves on the inside that will help crush dried spices.

I received 2 of these, the first one arrived smashed to pieces, probably due to being dropped during delivery. Walmart was great and replaced the item immediately (though still asked me to send back the mortar in pievese, it was so badly damaged that some pieces have become sand) the 2nd one arrived better cushioned and in good shape. It does the job. I used it to ground spices, garlic etc. the one suggestion I have is that they always use cushioning when shipping,

i really want to like this! Truly! So, this is the 2nd set that arrived damaged. The box was open and the mortar and pestle was just rolling around in the box. When i called about the replacement the first time, I asked them to make a note of how it was shipped so it wouldn't continue happening this way. But based on some of the other reviews, it sounds as though it's not just me!

This is a nice product...but SHAME on who ever shipped it. NO PRIDE in their work. THIS WAS SHIPPED IN A BUBBLE WRAP EVEVOLPE! Yes...at this WEIGHT....it was sent POORLY! My pestle is chipped on the top....it was busted open and rolling around without padding!

Bought this to grind up herbs but can not use it because of toxic marble dust. Inside of bowl is rough, pourus surface that produces fine marble dust when grinding anything in the bowl.
