I had bought a fry pan earlier and loved the non-stick feature and healthier cooking. After that I was ready to get more matching pieces. Because my storage is limited I just need a few pieces. This pot works as good as the fry pan. I am ready to buy another size pot! The only thing I wish this collection had is the steel bottom for induction.
My daughter gave me my first Green Life pan YEARS ago, and I used it - well - to death. I told my husband I wanted two of them for Christmas this year, but they were sold out everywhere in my area. I finally was able to get the size/color of choice online, and my frying endeavors are now back to being the pleasurable experiences they should be.
I bought these based on a Consumer Reports review and using ScanPan skillets that are heavy and because of the handle attachments always get food stuck in the pan. I am also an owner of Lifetime cook ware, please consider my review a good and honest one. These are the best non stick pans I have ever used. They are truly non stick, light weight, and perfect for the normal food you would cook in a pan like these. The heat is evenly dispatched. I love cooking eggs, bacon, onions, jalapenos, chives, garlic, green chile, etcetera due to non stick and able to cook on lower heat since the pan is not a super heavy pan. I also love the colors available. You really must try these. The finish on the pan does not yellow and is very pleasing to the eye
Bought as a replacement for an All Clad non-stick frypan that had gotten the coating scratched up due to teens using the wrong utensils. I use All Clad and Le Creuset purchased many years ago but a replacement was cost prohibitive so I read some great reviews on Consumer Reports and decided to try this one. All I can say is WOW! I love using this new frypan - it conducts heat evenly, food comes out of the pan with no problem, it's lightweight making it easy to get out of my cabinet, and it is a breeze to clean. I am so pleased with this pan that I am planning to purchase more starting with a sauté pan. I highly recommend this pan!
i very rarely write reviews but this pan deserves one. i have used it several times ( i had to replace my calphalon griddle because it was warped - first time that ever happened) and it is great for pancakes and easy to clean. would highly recommend for the price
Tried a set of these several months ago and both my husband and I agreed they were good enough to buy a second set...so we did! The only thing missing from this set was the smallest pan. There's just the two of us and the small one gets used frequently. I stack them carefully between bubble wrap to avoid potential damage. So far-NONE! Being 70 years old, I've been through my share of pans. They are used every day. Never put in the dishwasher and they ALL clean up with no elbow grease at all. Keep the stovetop temps low and maybe a medium when boiling water for pasta. Looking for a one-quart saucepan and then I'll have it all in my kitchen! A true bonus from the design of these pans are NO rivets inside the pan. I really enjoy that design perk.
The pan is nice and deep so you can saute a meal for a family of 4 with chicken breasts and then whatever sauce you are cooking. The handles being soft-grip are really nice also b/c then you don't burn your hands. TIP: make sure you let the pan cool before washing it. Going from one extreme temp to another can cause the pan to peel.. which would suck.
I was gifted the 8” Pro a few months ago and after using it I was very impressed! I’ve used this pan probably 40 times mostly for egg dishes, fried/scrambled and omelets. Honestly I’m not even sure that I can tell its been used! I had planned after the first couple of weeks that I was going to get the 10” and 12” and once the the 12” was back in stock I ordered and received both. I’ve used both of them since and was not surprised with there performance, including a flattened chicken fried skin side down in the 12”. Awesome pans, don’t hesitate to purchase you’ll be very pleased!!
I use this when I volunteer in an assisted living facility and make omelets once or twice a month. I use two pans to keep the omelets coming and they work great! My only quibble is that you don't have a version that works on induction ranges. I don't understand why you can't put your coating on a pan that works with induction. That is the range that I have at home, so I can only use use your when I'm cooking elsewhere.
I'm enjoying these pots and pans. They get hot fast and are easy to clean. My only issue was one of my skillets seemed to have a nick in it after the first use. I didn't use anything but a wooden spoon and a super soft sponge to clean it… now I'm being super careful when handling these because they just seem to be a little delicate. Another issue was my husband accidentally knocked over a lid and the lid completely shattered. I've never had a glass lid do that before. besides these issues, the set is nice and I love the color.
