Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker Machine with Glass Coffee Pot, Cafetera, Black

Pleased with this coffee maker, fast, hot, and if I pour 6 cups of water in it, 6 cups of coffee comes out. Water isn't wasted streaming away. Very pleased.

I wanted a simple coffee maker. It works great. I thought it would shut off after 2 hours, but doesn't. Still like it. Would buy again.

I bought this to replace a programmable pot that quit working. Things I love- Makes good coffee, keeps coffee HOT. and the spout does not drip when pouring. I only wish it had auto shut off….but it doesn’t- Has one switch, on %26 off-Super simple-

That's right, Charles. This coffee making machine really does 12 cups. So? Many more machines are 12 cup. O No they aren't. Manufacturers openly lie to us about capacities of coffee pots %26 cups. The U.S. Bureau of Standards long ago established precise units of measure. The volume contained in one cup = 8 fl. oz., not 5 or 6 oz. One gallon = 128 fl. oz. Similarly, one pound = 16 oz. When a carafe is graduated with cup markings, they SHOULD, but almost NEVER are the stated quantities. Never have I seen coffee pot capacity correctly marked since the early days of Mr Coffee. Percolators %26 drip machines are still correctly marked. That is, UNTIL NOW. Finally, a correctly marked capacity %26 I have one. Yes, I do. For decades, I kept a spare machine, so I have only to unpack %26 swap machines when tragedy strikes. This time, machines were mixed with junk for wannabe coffee drinkers. You know who you are, k-cuppers. While I usually drink only 3 or 4 cups, I am vigilant in pursuit of Truth. When this machine arrived, I measured the capacity of the pot. Yes, boys %26 girls, it holds 12 cups, as advertised. That, folks = 96 fl. oz. My newest mug holds only 12 oz., not the pint (16 oz) of the Bubba Mug to which I am accustomed. I probably won't have withdrawals, if my Stanley Thermos is full.

This 4-12 cup coffee pot is a basic model that makes a quick pot of coffee. Once brewed, the hot plate keeps the carafe at a good temperature for the next serving. It is easy to fill the reservoir with water and the filter basket is simple to use. However, there is automatic turnoff and I am not sure why the pot in mine becomes so condensated.

If you want a no-frills coffee maker this is the one for you. My husband picked it out because we have had good experiences with Hamilton Beach kitchen products. Making a good cup of coffee did require some trial and error until we got used to how this one brews a cup o' joe We've finally come up with the correct amount of coffee to suit our taste. While all I need from my coffee maker is to make a good cup of coffee, the one additional feature I like to have is the auto shut-off. I feel this is a safety measure that all coffee makers should have. There is nothing worse than burnt coffee in the bottom of the pot because you've forgotten to turn it off or much worse, having a potential house fire. A simple coffeemaker for those of us who don't need all the bells and whistles and only want a decent cup of coffee in the morning.

The lid doesn’t click to secure when down. It just lays on the top rim. This may present dangerous conditions if children are present. Also there is a sticker on the carafe saying “3 brew strength options Regular, Bold or 1-4 Cups “. There is no way to program this coffee maker to do this.

I originally bought a Mr coffee. I'm just a simple man and when I got my coffee maker it burned up where you turn it on when I notified Walmart or the problem all they wanted me to do is print off a return label which I don't own a printer. so I had to buy this one this is a good coffee maker .

FYI: This coffee maker (HB 49631) is *NOT* 96 fl oz. It is 60 oz., like so many others. Otherwise, it's OK, and Walmart got it delivered quick. Just need to fix the advertising.

Coffee grounds in the coffee, leaks and has no ability to remove carafe without coffee everywhere. I love the Hamilton Beach coffee programmable coffee maker for the same price elsewhere. Had it for years, but then broke the carafe. Thought this would be fine as I don’t need programming, but it’s junk.
