Espresso tastes great out of this machine. The tank lasted a long time, had to fill it less often than i did my keurig. Easy to clean in between shots of espresso. Overall very happy with this product.
If you want to give a nice present to your home, and a fantastic coffee aroma, try the espresso maker from Hamilton Beach, they make it easy, they make it perfect.
Very Nice machine to prepare capuccinos, expressos and even american coffee. The missing Star is due to the frothing nozzle is with a leal when is working. No a Big deal but is a Quality mater.
I love my espresso maker. I have only used the frother once but it worked well when I did. I use it for iced espresso drinks. My double shot insert for the grounds is starting to leak around the seal inside bottom of metal where the screen holes are which causes a bunch of air to push through so I have to order a replacement part but I use it at least once a day for last 3 months and just now starting to have issue.
I wanted to step up my coffee at home with this machine. It is a nice looking machine and incredibly easy to use but the milk steamer and frother only seems to dilute the milk. I will still try to use this but for now went back to my coffee pot and heating my milk in a pot until I figure it out.
There are several good points of functional interest that are short of effective. It is a handsome appliance but, too much plastic. It is quieter than other espresso machines I have owned. It is easy to clean, fill and operate and the controls are good. The one most disappointing feature was the heating of the coffee. I prefer my coffee and espresso HOT. With this machine, it was short of that. I often put it in the microwave immediately or shortly after making because it was not hot enough for my taste. I also believe that some of the flavor was lost in the cooler process of making the espresso.
The lack of an auto shut-off feature for espresso dispensing is inconvenient and can lead to overflows if you're not paying close attention. Additionally, I consistently find coffee grounds in my drink, which really detracts from the experience. On my most recent use, only one side of the pod filter holder dispensed coffee, which suggests a possible defect or design flaw. The pod holder also retains water, so when you go to empty the used grounds, it creates a mess — water and grounds everywhere.
This machine didn't work from day one. The handled part where you put espresso leaks every time it's brewing, so hot espresso water spills all over the counter. There is no sensor to shut off the flow of water after its done brewing. Unless you watch like a hawk and manually stop it, you end up with watery coffee. Also, it doesn't create the nice little foam that normally comes out as the last part of brewing espresso.
The very first pour was strong and excellent, but since then, it's been weak (light brown, see through weak) and just continues to get lighter each time. I had high hopes but as they say, you get what you pay for.
Not good quality.
