I love my CanOpener
This product is so easy to use and cuts the can with a smooth cut. It's a heavy can opener so you don't have to worry about it tipping over. I have arthritis and using a hand can opener hurts my hands. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a excellent can opener for under 20.00 you can beat it!!
This is great for me. I got to where I couldn't use a regular opener, so I bought this one. It has been a great use for me. It's easy to use, looks good sitting on the cabinet. I would tell everyone if you need help opening cans this is the one to get.
Got this can opener for my grandma for her birthday because she needed one and couldn't open the old one on her own because of pain in her hand due to a recent stroke and maybe arthritus. She called back later that night very happy, hadn't heard her that happy in a while because she liked how smooth, quiet, and most of all how you don't even have to hold it. It opens cans on it's own and stops on it's own with regular size cans. It has a manuel knife sharpener and not sure if it had the bottle opener which the Wal-Mart website said but i'll check and maybe update this sometime. Overall, very impressed and happy that she loved it. The reviews were a big reason why I decided to purchase this because it provided more details besides the color and price ofcourse.
This can opener is truly strong, seems to be very well built and it's beautiful for a Darker red (but not very dark) decor/accent. It does well with tall cans, heavy cans etc. and has extra features as well. It has an easy clean feature which is a plus. I really like it. My only thing is the can lid is very strange looking warped after cut and usually does not adhere to the magnet, usually items needing a can opener need drained so it's not a big deal to me but it's strange. It really is powerful though and everything most people would need in a can opener. And again, the easy clean feature, that's a big plus!
I have only used this can opener a few times since picking it up on a ship-to-store online purchase. It works perfectly and it is very easy to use and clean. It appears to be very sturdy and powerful, and I really like how you can open large cans like fruit juice or those Chun-King Chinese dinner can combos. I am very glad that I read all the reviews of the can openers and that I did not get one of the ones that cost a few dollars less. I highly recommend this device.
The can opener functions well. It has a sharp, smooth cutting blade. It has a push-button release for ease of cleaning the cutting element. I like the No-Touch feature. Once it begins to open the can, you don't need to hold the can or the opener, except for large cans. For larger cans, the body of the opener tends to tip over forward so you must hold on to the opener. It is cumbersome and awkward to hold and carry around because of its wide rounded shape. For a woman's size hands it is hard to grasp the body. It is a little on the top-heavy side, too. The "chrome" cutting handle is plastic.
1st time using it I tried to open a can of Bush beans & couldn't. The blade part would catch the can, finally after I tried many time my husband tried & it took about 5 tries for him to open it. I said I need to be able to open cans so we rinsed that can & tried it upside down (which you are suppose to be able to do if cans dented) but it didn't work at all. I did try on a can of fruit & it worked but I'm not sure it will work when I have another can & I don't want to open cans that I don't need, so we will see.
Looks ok,but the first can I put under it(a 15 oz can of chili), caused it to tip over forwards and spill onto the floor. Needs to be heavier in back. Also leaves bits of the paper label in the can. The instructions even tells you to remove the bits of paper after opening! Going back.
When I received this, I could tell that it had been returned or opened before. When it cut a can is made a very jagged scalloped cut. Also the main handle that you press down on to open a can is a very thin plastic. I felt that it would crack and break. I returned it to the store and bought another brand.
