I am beyond impressed with this Hamilton Beach Durathon iron. It has a nice weight to it that makes pressing out deep wrinkles effortless, and the soleplate glides over every fabric I've tried without any sticking or dragging. The steam output is surprisingly powerful, it even works vertically for a quick touch-up on hanging clothes. It heats up incredibly fast and feels much higher quality than other irons in this price range. If you're looking for a reliable, heavy-duty iron that actually gets the job done, this is the one to get. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love how well this iron steams and presses clothing without having to use a lot of force or weight into it to be able to get a crisp finish. With so many steam vents, it quickly and efficiently steams away wrinkles. And the retractable cord is a great added feature!

Had this same iron for over 10 years. Hopefully this one last just as long. This is a substantial iron as in there is some weight to it. So you don't have to work as hard as you would with a cheap light weight one. Providing you are comfortable with the weight of it.

If you like a heavier weight iron that heats up in seconds and handles deep wrinkles in cotton clothing then this iron is meant for you. I had my grandmothers old Hamilton Beech iron that I was using that she used to starch press my grandfathers overalls and it stopped spraying water and steaming. It was the model 14505 and it was an older iron. I was afraid I would not find another iron like it with heavier weight but this is it. I'm beyond pleased with this iron and the retractable cord is a pleasant addition. I highly recommend this iron to those who like a heavier iron like I do but if your looking for light weight this is not for you

This is one of the best irons I've own. The iron heats up fast, the steam and sprayer work great and it's easy to choose the kind of fabric that's being ironed so you don't burn clothes. The water area does not leak as so many do. It glides on the clothes without catching the fabric. It's heavy duty and almost feels like a professional iron. I have used this iron several times since my old one stopped working a while ago and it's fantastic. I also appreciate the retractable cord. I would definitely recommend this iron and I'm happy I did my research.

I finally ditched my very old iron and invested in this one. Of course I wish I had done this sooner as it is such a wonderful iron, and not too expensive. I sew and use this often to take wrinkles out of fabric, or to set hems before sewing them. I love that I can control the amount of steam that comes out. I'm not a big fan of the automatic shut-off that occurs when the iron is lying flat, even if I'm moving it. I have yards of fabric to iron at one time, but I will not take off a star for this because its purpose is to ensure safety, so I'll deal with the minor hassle :-)

Overall, the product works well and feels durable. It heats up fairly quickly—about 20 to 30 seconds to reach the chosen setting. My main drawback is the weight. It feels quite heavy for my preference, especially since I have small hands. That said, I'm still keeping it because the pros outweigh the cons for me.

I've never had an iron emit such a strong smell for so long. It went beyond a “new” smell. It was a very strong hot plastic smell that lasted for days and through many cycles of use. I called customer service and they said if it didn't go away after a couple of uses to return it. So I did.

Broke less than two months after purchasing it. I've purchased the same one at least three other times and the iron was great. Now they must be manufacturing them poorly. This is the second one in a row that I've had a problem with. Don't waste your money on this brand.

A bit pricey but I love the button selection instead of having to turn to the desired temperature. Iron appeared to be a returned iron from someone else because of the scratches, wear %26 tear, %26 paper it came in. Which is ridiculous to resale %26 package back in already used packaging but I will be returning it if I have problems
