i love my kettle. It brings water to a rolling boil so fast and the lights near the base make it look so good on the counter. I can have a wonderful cup of tea, and make a bowl of oatmeal at breakfast. I also love to boil the water for recipes that need it to rehydrate the boxed item. Scalloped potatoes or Ramen

I never gave an electric kettle a single thought. But when my sister moved in with us for a while and brought her electric kettle with her, I wondered " what do you need that thing?". After 2 days of her electric kettle in my kitchen, I fell in love with the convenience of this electric kettle. It boils water in less than 2 minutes (bye bye traditional tea kettle!) and makes boiling water a snap--I can't believe how fast this kettle is! On winter mornings, my husband and I like to pre-heat our coffee mugs with hot water before filling them and this kettle works great for this purpose. Also, we always add a little warm water to our dog's dry dog food and we used to run the tap until it the water warmed, wasting water and time. Now, by the time we pour the dog food into the bowl, the hot water is heated and ready to pour. The blue lights in the base of the unit glow beautifully and is rather visually captivating. And with a glass kettle, you can watch the water as it progresses to boiling. It shuts off automatically once the water fully comes to a boil but you can lift the kettle off the base anytime if you just need hot, but not boiling water. There are so many uses for this kettle that I don't think we'll ever find ourselves without one from now on!

The product is simple and doing the job. Just put the water and turn it on. He has a unique look and Kettle also light up. what makes it pretty cool. Since the kettle made of glass, small scratch on the glass can make it blow up during work time. If I would have kids I wouldN'T buy it!

Bought this for my sister who does a lot of canning and me living in England where everyone has a kettle for boiling water, I wanted her to have one. She loves it and uses it every day. Walmart let me use PayPal to check out so I was able to pay for it on my end and have it sent to her. She can't fault it in its use and I can't fault the price.

Very useful product. Love it for tea and hot chocolate. I also use it to heat water to make hummingbird food.

My Hamilton Beach 1 7 Liter Glass Kettle arrived within a week of ordering. The cost including Tax was $39.20. April 2014. For only 2 weeks I had another all metal Hamilton Beach electric pot which I returned because I just could not read the water level which was behind the handle. This glass model has eliminated that problem. The little blue lights around the inside bottom of the pot that go on when the pot is turned on is another lovely idea. Very pretty. Three minutes are saved to get to a boil with this pot compared to my on the stove kettle. A couple of issues I have are the pot base develops spots on it that the directions do tell about and say not to worry about them in the overall function of the pot. The other is more serious. Twice now the pot kept boiling and I had to switch it off. The OnOff tab seems rather iffy. Not a strong OnOff feel to it. Rather easy to joggle. Being that the pot is on a very well used counter top, maybe the tab gets nudged by something and isn't in the total up position when i turn the pot on. Now I make sure it is in the Up position before I start and that I unplug the pot when I'm done.

I got my first one of these in 2020. I'd used my friend's in 2018. His is still running just fine but my first one died after 4 years. There were less expensive ones, but I decided to go back with this one. The new one's shut off tab at the bottom of the handle doesn't shut when you pick it up off the plate. Not sure what's up with that. However, it's still way faster than boiling water on the stove.

This kettle works and the pros are that it boils water, was fairly cheap, and is cordless. The cons are that it's small, has tacky blue LED lights that look like an airplane runway, and you can only fill the water to the max line, which seems to be less than the 3/4 mark.

I was looking for a plastic free glass kettle. When I got to see the actual Kettle, I was disappointed. Looks good but not what I wanted The sealing between the glass and the steel has a rubber coated seal- perhaps its a silicone. The point is I do not want any form of plastic to touch my boiling water and that's not what this kettle does.
