I love the design! It's aesthetically pleasing and very functional. It has a delicate setting that is similar to the kids temp hot chocolate at Starbucks for when my kids want a quick cup of hot chocolate during the cold weather. I would definitely recommend this kettle.
Works well, brings water up to temperature quickly and holds it on the warm setting for a good length of time, and has a very short learning curve. Only wish from me is it looked nice instead of utilitarian, but I'll live with it to have visible water levels. Also nice to not pay a premium for both looks and temp control.
I'm really impressed with this kettle! It holds a ton of water, which is perfect for busy days when I don't want to constantly refill it. The temperature control settings are super convenient, especially because it heats up to 160°F — the perfect temp for baby formula. The buttons are easy to use, and I love that it has a KEEP WARM option, so I don't have to re-heat water over and over again. The glass design looks great on the counter, and it heats very fast. For anyone making bottles or just wanting quick, controlled hot water, this kettle is a lifesaver. Highly recommend!
Very nice! Better than cheaper one I tried which quit working on day 3. Nice temp control and keep warm feature. I use it multiple times a day for coffee, tea and shines up my ceramic cook top with ease, after cleaning (use a thick, folded terry cloth towel so you don't burn yourself).
My old kettle died and I needed a replacement for my morning tea. This one had the main feature I was looking for: the ability to select a temperature. This feature was a revelation for me in my old kettle! The bonus with this kettle: the clear glass and the fun lights. I am liking this kettle far more than I expected.
The lid is a joke. Theres literally no way to keep it securely in place, it pops open as soon as the water boils too. The filter piece isnt removeable and makes filling the kettle difficult, causing you to spill water down the sides while filling. The buttons are great for the settings, but their placement means theres a small area to safely lift the kettle making it a little hard to keep steady while pouring boiling water. The setting options are great, and I do like the beep notification for when its done. I wish the beep could be turned off, but thats a minor issue compared to the lid issue. If you are looking for a kettle with zero plastic inside this one does have a couple small pieces of plastic inside the kettle. Im genuinely shocked no one has been injured by the terrible lid coming open.
I started on the required cleaning boil cycle. It said it had auto shut off, soci went about my business. When I came back to it 20 mins later it was still boiling! It also wouldn't turn off with the start/stop button. None of the buttons worked. I emptied the water out, and started a new boil for the 2 out of 3 cleaning boil cycles before first use. It wouldn't allow me to change the temperature or stop it again. I consulted some troubleshooting online, unplugged it for 10 mins, let the carafe cool down, then replaced with water, replugged it and tried again. Wouldn't even start. Oh and one of the buttons fell off when emptying the water.
This is so poorly designed it's hard to fill with water. We bought it because it looked like the one we had that finally stopped working after like 5 years. Found that its design is so inferior we were going to take it back but then we realized our old kettle fits on its electric heater. So we are just using the part you plug in with our old kettle and it's been fine!
Purchased in June on 2024 and broke at the end of December 2024. This cost me $40. It isn't worth 40$ if it only lasts barely 6 months. First the filter broke then the whole top of the lid. I can't return to Walmart because it's past 90 days. Piece of junk. Don't buy Hamilton beach.
It broke it about 4 months. Just outside of the 90 day return window it boiled water, beeped funny at the end, smelled electrical and died. Prior to that, it was pretty decent. Large capacity. Decent time to boil. But, that is all pointless if it lasts for 100 uses. It probably cost use 40 cents a use.
