Hamilton Beach Variable Temperature Electric Kettle, 1.7 Liter, Black, Stainless Steel, New, 41022F

Being British, we drink a lot of tea and therefore, use our kettle more than most. Most kettle in the USA take forever to boil, primarily due to the lower voltage used here but this kettle is almost as far as the ones in the UK. We're very happy with it and recommend it. We also like the different temperature settings as we also drink s lot of herbal teas

Love this electric kettle! But...upon first use, I considered returning it! This one has the multi-choice brewing (water temperature) and a "keep warm" setting, plus it chimes (slightly, for about 3 seconds) when the water is ready. But between the illumination and the chimes, at first I really disliked it. Even repacked it to return. Started looking at other kettles. But, something told me to try it again, when I couldn't really find anything better (after all, these really are GREAT features). So, I began using it, and now, after 2 weeks. I am totally happy! I have come to LIKE the light and the sound!! And the features are really super handy. I discovered that I like my tea water heated to about 160-175 degrees, and the tea tastes better, and I can actually sip it right away!!!! Please, take my word for it, if you try this pot, I think you may find yourself as happy as I am!! Love it!

I liked not having the lever at the bottom. no lever at all. We used some of the buttons. it worked great the went out un me about 10 months. won'g come on when put on the base. checked power to hhe base, ok. there is a circuit board, but nothing looked fried. time for a new one. If Ibuy this one again, I'll get the extended plan, pretty cheap.

My old kettle (not this brand) died after several years of use, and I needed a replacement. After reading many reviews of various kettles in all price ranges, I realized that every kettle has its pros and cons. Because most kettles are made in China, I wanted a name brand for some assurance of quality control. I also did not want to spend a fortune on something that would break, rust or malfunction in a short period of time. I've found Hamilton Beach to be a reputable brand in the past, and the price was quite competitive, so I bought this unit. So far it has worked as advertised, so I'm pleased with the purchase. The reason for 4 stars is that most of the good reviews are from users who participated in a promotion, so they may be biased. Also several of the bad reviews state that the unit may malfunction within the first year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I did not get a lemon, but at this point in time the kettle is working as expected..

The product is fine however, mine came in damaged and dented. The packaging was clearly damaged and looked like somebody just kicked the box around the store. Walmart needs to do a better job of holding their shopper/pickers accountable. That package should've never been put on the shelf and for sure should've never been sent out for delivery. Because of the dent, the unit may show rusting or corrosion on the inside at some point. I would've given a higher rating if the online shopping experience would have been better.

I've only had this a couple weeks so I cannot attest to the longevity. I purchased it to replace a Cuisinart which looks very similar to this and had finally failed after quite a few years. Yes, it is much nicer than one which simply has an on/off switch so if you are upgrading, you'll love it. If, however, you are wanting to replace your Cuisinart for about half the price, you will likely be disappointed. First, when you click the button to open the lid, it flops open and will hit you with boiling hot drops of water. (If you are doing as I usually do and you are adding more water after filling your cup. ) Next, and the most disappointing, is that you have to reset it every time you lift it off of the base. The Cuisinart would keep your settings so after you fill your cup and set the pot back on the base, it went right back to keeping your water warm at the degree you had set it. With this one, you have to click all three buttons again (temp, start, keep warm). While that seems like a small effort, once you are used to not having to do it, it's a real pain to remember to press all the buttons again. Lastly, this thing is loud and makes squealing noises. The Cuisinart was very quiet although the beep to tell you the water is hot was louder on the Cuisinart although I consider that another plus one for the Cuisinart. All-in-all, I am disappointed in this product and in myself for being a cheapskate and buying a knock-off.

I purchased two of these last year this time because I like the metal design. It worked really well at the beginning, but after a year, it stopped working. It just automatically shuts off after it starts for two seconds. Quite disappointed tbh. I probably would go for a more expensive and reliable product next time.

I loved this kettle! Unfortunately, it just stopped working. Tried everything. It won't even turn on anymore. Plugged in only when in use. I'm very disappointed in the craftsmanship. Considering I have a hand mixer from another company that I bought when I was 18 and still am using at 56! Quality of appliances today is just not the same.

I wanted an inexpensive electric kettle for tea, coffee and boiling. i ordered this kettle and received it. After filling with water for the first boil, the lights did not work and the unit had no power. I tested the outlet, but i could not get the kettle to power on. i ended up returning it.

The overwhelming smell of plastic make this kettke unusable .I followed the instructions to rinse the kettle 2-3x. Also the LED lights did not work accurately. There is a very electronic smell coming from this appliance .The cord is super short. Pass on it.
