I've tried a lot of different hairbrushes for my cat had previously I had one that had metal tines and I was always afraid the cat would put her eye out, cause she just loves to be brushed and loves when you brush her whiskers. This brush is a lot safer for her and it does a fantastic job.
I love this brush for cats. Cats also seem to like this brush quite a bit, even if they usually do not like brushes.. it's soft ,the bristles are good quality, and at the right angle. Many brushes nowadays don't have the right angle bristles and it doesn't brush dead hair out. I would say the only downside is that you have to work a little bit to remove the hair from the brush itself but overall it's a really fantastic brush for Cats.
My son loves it. I bought him several brushes/combs. He only liked pin brushes. Sadly my Walmart did not have anymore in stock. The ones they did have I guess bother him, it was a task brusing him with it. This one he would stop bathing and let us brush him, once we stop he finishes the job. 😂 He has a medium length coat. The brush is just the right size and shape. I didn't take a picture of it, but here is my son.
This is my 4th or 5th Hartz brush for my cat and he likes it as much as I do. I have used others including the cat brushing gloves but this is the best one to get the fur off and not hurt the skin that he likes.
my late kitty lily girl (RIP) used to shed A LOT, like, constantly. it never stopped, this helped thin out the shedding. so she wasn't shedding as much. 10/10 would buy again.
Love it, works great on my Siamese shedding for Spring like crazy, does a great job and the cat enjoys the brushing. Gets down deeper than the mitts while still being comfortable for the cat. No complaints, good brush
I feel so horrible for not having had this my entire cats lives. I've had the brushes that have the plastic bristles and plastic tips, and metal bristles but never something in between. This is the perfect brush for cats… My cat actually begs to be brushed now!!!! if you have a cat you seriously need this just trust me. And glad that Walmart had it at affordable price so that I didn't have to place an order with the pet retailer.
My cat is a domestic short-hair and yet he gets knots in his coat. Usually just near his tail but recently I found 6 small knots on his chest. Every brush I already had didn't help. But this brush - wow - it might have taken all of 10 minutes to remove them all without any pain for him. I feel like he got his first ever really good brushing thanks to this brush. His coat is soft and sleek. I like it so much, I bought a second as a backup. An inexpensive brush that's just perfect for cat's coats.
I really liked how the handle on the brush felt in my hand. nice grip wasn't irritating. my cat loved the bristles combing through their hair, but unfortunately when I went to clean the hair out of the brush the bristles began to come out so there were bare spots in the brush after the first brushing.
The bristles are a little small and if you have a long haired cat, like I do the short bristles end up, pulling the hair versus releasing it like a shedding blade. I would not suggest it for a heavily matted cat, but more of as a daily brush.
