I use this in place of mayonnaise, because mayo doesn't agree with me. I use it with tuna and chicken salad. I use the mild variety and even tone down the heat further with Forage plant based sour cream (I'm also allergic to dairy.) That makes a great sauce over enchiladas too. The dip is so versatile. The calories are very low. This product is a winner in every way.
This showed up in my refrigerator from my son's girlfriend. I tried it. Absolutely great spicy unusual taste, not at all like an avocado Spicy, not hot, nothing like an avocado. but too thin for a cracker and good on eggs, burritos, chicken, etrc. Pricey, but I highly recommend.
I bought this avocado dip for a taco day basket giveaway. My best friend used to eat sometimes and she said it was very good and since it's mild, you can always make it hotter to your taste and other folks can eat them mild without doctoring it up. It has a very good price guacamoles are good for you. It's always a good habit Handy in your pantry ha ha you never know when you're gonna have a taco day.
It's delicious, but for my taste it is still and little 'hot'. However, I mix a couple of spoon fulls of sour cream, sometimes with shredded pizza cheese and it's good to go. I occasionally put the dip on salad and that's yummy. Overall, I am enjoying it. Did I say it's good in a burrito?
I cannot open the jar. The most sealed lid ever. So when I can get a human who can open it for me I will know if it's any good. For now I can't really tell.
Not at all what I expected. Thin, runny, sour, no avocado taste at all. Maybe good for the base of a homemade salad dressing.. Won't buy again. More tomatillos than avocado, I think.
its ok only because fresh avacados are not always an option where i live so sometimes you have to settle. this is how i settle. its ok for what it is. fresh avocados R ½ the $$$.
I am unable to actually comment on taste or texture. It was the condition of the item that earned the one star. The vacuum seal on the jar lid was not “on”. Some of the dip was around the lid and jar. It didn't look bad, but…. I don't know if it was shipped to Walmart that way, or if it happened because of a customer there. But this was a replacement for the item I ordered that was out of stock. So, the picker/shopper who filled my order should be trained to check items before bagging them to fill an order.
I was hesitant to buy this after seeing a review saying there was mold in someone's. But it was on sale and looked like it would be thicker than the guac salsa which I knew would be good, so I decided to give it a try. I didn't notice until it was open that I didn't have to hear the top seal break when I opened it. But needless to say when I did, the broken seal and mold were almost certainly connected. My recommendation? In the future, just get the guac salsa as this seems to be a repeated issue with this particular food item.
This is NOT Avacado dip. It is TOMATILLA dip with avacado in it someplace maybe. It is runny and sour and has NO avacado flavor at all. Will never buy again.
