Herdez Hot salsa, is the best! I just wish it was available for Shipping at $1.00 if you want to delivery it's gonna cost you $24 for 12 cans. That's two dollars a can.
This cheap canned salsa is better than cheap jarred salsa. Is it hot? It's the same as cheap jarred salsa in that regard. It's about jalapeno level of heat. Very tasty though and nice small package size is great for single adults. Really good value.
This is a great product, both as a spicy salsa, but also for use as a base for Spanish Rice or taco filling. Just add 1 can to the rice water before cooking and the taste is great! Or use it as a base for taco meat filling. Cook 1 pound of ground chicken or fine beef shreds, add 1 can of this and continue cooking until the liquid is evaporated. It gives the taco stuffing a wonderful flavor and a bit of heat. I even use it when making homemade soup from scratch, and it adds a bit of tomato acidity and enhances the soup flavor. LOVE IT!
This is great on my poached eggs EVERY morning. It says HOT on the can, but its not. My GHOST peppers are hot not HERDEZ. Now sodium content is a bit high but nothing is perfect. By the way, eggs cholesterol does not go from plate to arteries, NEWEST study. I eat two eggs every day and for a quick lunch I might eat 3 more. At 70 calories and I love eggs it works for me. 135%23 weight loss in the last year. Have a great day! JF
The company consistently produces quality and consistency in the taste of their products. I also really like the affordability of their products.
I use this to make my chicken enchiladas. Mix 2 cans of this in with the meat once it's shredded with some of the broth from the chicken and let it simmer until the broth is gone. Add some salt and pepper and make my enchiladas.
perfect, no to hot. goes with everything, I like to add a can to my tomato soup. excellent for fall and winter days. Add a grilled cheese sandwich and your set.😊
This is the first time trying salsa in a can. This one was not impressive. The Herdez brand is one of my favorites for salsa in a jar. This one caught my eye due to the affordable price, as well as shelf stable. A dash of this hot salsa in each of my three tacos. The taste/flavor was very plain. Tasted a little bit like the can. Since there are two additional cans in the pantry, I will try it again soon. Since this salsa is shelf stable, as well as less than .80 cents per can, this would be a great salsa to keep in the pantry for quick meals. Basic ingredients, nothing extra. Next time I will pair them up with tortilla chips.
this salsa had a very small amount of tomato juices but no tomato chunks it was all onions and a hint of hot flavor no actual hot peppers either i bought several cans and all were all onions it was like onions soaking in V8 with hot pepper flavoring added not worth the price i will not buy this again
I paid 15.00 for to small cans of herdez and I thought I was getting a whole case this company is a ripoff and I think they should refund my money. I can get 15 cans at Walmart Store when it is in stock for what I was charged for to small cans.
