I love using this to make a super quick and cheap salsa. I just add some lime juice and cilantro and blend 'til smooth. Tastes just like the stuff you get at a Mexican restaurant. It's a bit spicier than mild, but not quite as spicy as medium.
Decided to try this canned salsa and so happy I did. Tastes like what you get in a Mexican restaurant. Going to be my go to salsa from now on.
This is perfect for the base of your own salsa. I add in cilantro and chilis and onion and garlic and the tomato's in this make such a difference! Can even use it to cook meat in the instapot!
Very mild, but so tasty. I couldn't believe it for the price. I'm impressed with so many Great Value products (glad they finally changed the logo!), and this one I will buy again and again. Perfect with tortilla chips, just drain a bit, because it's very juicy.
Holy moly, I was told about this stuff and I immediately snubbed it but, I was told to “just try it” and my god was I shocked at how good canned salsa could be. I know it sounds impossible but the stuff tastes fresh. Just buy a can and try it for yourself. You have to put it in the fridge first though. It tastes better chilled. Why? I have no clue but it just does. I even had coworkers try it and when I told them it was Walmart brand canned salsa they were just as shocked as I was.
I like the flavor of this salsa as it has a cast iron grilled tomato and peppers rich cilantro taste.. The smaller cans mean I can open one and have that fresh taste every time compared to a large jug of salsa that sits in the fridge for a month.. I use this when making scrambled rancho eggs, as dip for tortilla chips, filling the seed holes on avocado halves, added to cabbage and onion soup, cook one can of the salsa with a half cup of dry rice for a side dish, making salsa and cheese topping for fried burritos, in chili and more..
get this with walmart fat free refried beans, walmart diced jalapenos, walmart corn, walmart black olives, and walmart jar salsa, and walmart sodium free black beans to make a wonderful layer bean dip. Only future ask is that walmart use bpa free cans. Don't need bpa chemicals in our food and walmart has a powerful voice to make that change. If cans are bpa free, be sure to promote that fact on the label.
I bought one can to try and it will now replace all others that I normally buy. It tastes like what you'd get on the table at a Mexican restaurant. Its heat level is at the top end of medium. It's thick and a little chunky. I wouldn't normally choose to eat chips and salsa but that's going to change. I can wait to find other uses for it!
It's ok as far as a canned salsa. I found it a bit bland, but the fire roasted flavor was there. I tossed it in a food processor with some cumin and crushed red pepper to flavor it up and give it some heat. It also made the tomatoes less chunky, which I prefer. I'll still buy it when I don't feel like making salsa or there's not fresh ingredients handy.
The item itself is fine and good however the delivery was supposed to bring me 24 cans and I only got 16 so somebody clearly messed up
