I'm really glad I gave it a try. The taste is mild and slightly sweet, not "goaty" or strong like some others I've tried. It dissolves quickly in warm water. I usually mix a tablespoon into a mug with hot water and stir, and it blends smoothly with no clumps.
We love this goat milk powder. It's super easy to rehydrate. We use this for our soap making and it gives the soap a great creaminess and hydrating feeling. A little powder goes a long way. It's a very clean product with no additives, antibiotics or growth hormones.
What I appreciate most is that it's the full cream goat milk with no added sugar, hormones, or weird fillers. It's also great knowing it's shelf-stable. I don't have to worry about keeping extra cartons of milk in the fridge. I haven't used it in soap or skincare yet, but I might experiment with it since it's pure and multi-purpose. This is a convenient, gentle-on-the-stomach milk alternative that's easy to store and tastes close to fresh.
Tried the Hoosier Hill Farm Goat Milk Powder, and I'm really impressed with how creamy and fresh it tastes once mixed! It dissolves easily in warm water and doesn't have that strong "goaty" flavor some brands do. I've used it for baking, coffee, and smoothies, and it works great every time. Definitely a convenient and high-quality option to keep in the pantry!
We needed this on hand because we have a baby goat that was rejected from its mom and several of us are taking care of it so it's important to have it in each person‘s house. Also my daughter doesn't drink cow milk and this has been a godsend for her.
I've tried a few different brands of powdered goat milk, and this one from Hoosier Hill Farm is probably the best I've had. It has a naturally sweet, clean taste—no weird aftertaste or chalky texture like some others. I use it as a milk alternative since I'm sensitive to cow's milk, and it's been gentle on my stomach with zero issues.
Let me start by saying I have been a customer to many different brands of goats milk sold in different forms. Fresh, powdered, canned and raw. Some producers sell milk that has a gamey and unpleasant flavor to it. So I am not only aware of this but I avoid such producers and their products. This brand however, I will be buying again. When the powder is reconstituted into milk, it tastes full, natural and rich. I used purified bottled water so I could be sure I was getting the best result and I recommend anyone else to try it this way. I was pleasantly surprised when I reconstituted the milk powder, it did not clump up in the water when it was mixed or after. This made it easy to serve to my picky toddler and easy for myself to make for us both. The product promises no GMO, no Hormones and has no anti-caking powder additives, I would recommended this milk powder as a healthy and easy addition to your diet.
Great taste like ur store bought good goat milk i recently fell in love with excellent taste maybe even better sometimes if i have a sweet tooth and I'm wanting ice cream i put a little honey and vanilla extract in it and I'm satisfied
Haven't tried it yet because I didn't expect instruction to make with warm water. Since I normally add milk powder to muesli I make with ice cold water, this will have to be made ahead of time and chilled. I was taken aback by the size of the canister. It seems rather small for an item this pricey. At this price I can't afford to mess any of it up by not following directions.
too expensive for the size of container. I'll buy locally from now on also bc many plastic bottled honey are always full of corn syrup not real actual honey
