I love this chilli especially over rice. Throw in some diced tomatoes... yum. Or add 1can of Hormel's vegetarian chilli with it and WOW ! lots of flavor and protein.
Turkey in chili is great and even better when someone else makes it! I put it in a bowl with some cheese, heated it in the microwave, and it was ready to eat in a minute!
OMG! This chili is unbelievably great...I have Alpha Gal and I can eat this with no problems.. The Flavor is better than most chili brands I have tried..My entire family eats it all the time..We make a variety of recipes and you would think it is homemade.. Don't hestitate to purchase.
Bought this decades ago (probably just the beef variety back then), and remembered it being more greasy (you could see the liquid fat). Now it is less greasy tasting. Get the turkey variety, and with the beans, too, to lower the carbs to stay within points on a Weight Watchers diet. Is a bit spicy, so some folks may complain about some peppery flavor, but I like that. Some pepper flavor, but not overpowering. You can put in a tablespoon of sour cream if you want to lower the peppery flavor. Will buy again for a convenient meal. Out of the can, into a paper bowl, into the microwave, and into my stomach.
I wanted to try something different and HORMEL didn't disappoint. I LOVE the turkey chili. It was a pleasant surprise when I had this product for the first time. I try not eat beef at EVERY meal. I hear it takes longer to digest. This turkey chili is a WONDERFUL addition. With just a little ADOBO and GV Garlic Powder......this chili makes a VERY nice lunch or simple dinner idea!!
if i don't have time to make chili from scratch- i reach for this brand. add a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar after heating. it us delicious.
I think that is a really good product. I think the turkey is a great substitute. I marked it lower on a flavor because I think a little too spicy for me and there is too much liquid compared to other chilies. I just cooked it down some and out of the little milk and it would turned out perfect. I thought it was too runny and too spicy from my taste. But just cooking it down and adding the milk made it really delicious. I think the turkey is a great substitute for the beef as far as improving the nutritional value of this particular product. The consistency of the turkey seems good. I don't buy it and then think.”ew” like some other meat substitutes that are swapped out for beef.
This is a good shelf-stable product to have with Winter and Spring weather coming up inthe months ahead. The price is higher than last year, but reasonable for a one-can meal. I don't trust anyone who says tariffs are coming down because they said it wouldn't affect me months ago, andit has. I'll buy more if it goes cheaper.
I want chili with beef and no pig, people. The turkey stuff hopefully had no pork, but was bland and texture was not necessarily pleasing. Blah, blah, blah.
I love the hormel turkey and beans chili. I used to be able to eat it, but now they are making it spicier and it's too hot for me to eat anymore! I wish Hormel would make a mild turkey and beans chili! Then I could enjoy their product once more!
