Always lied Corned beef hash, this is better than the Armour brand with less grease
It was a great value %26 convenient addition to my cupboard.
If you like corned beef hash- this is the best one to go with your eggs! Perfect combo of corned beef and potatoes. Easy to heat and serve! I suggest rye bread toast to go with it! YUM!
Husband loves making his own breakfast as long as we have the hash
IMO the best canned Corned Beef Hash you can buy. Not too wet, not to dry, not too corny ! Tastes great, Browns up nicely, no need to smother it in ketchup. I highly recommend Mary Kitchen. Fry it just over medium heat for 6 - 8 minutes, flip it & fry for another 6 - 8 minutes, stir it up and fry it for another 6 - 8 minutes etc. until it's browned to your liking. I grew up on my Dads homemade CBH and, of course, nothing beats that but Mary Kitchen comes closer than all others. My dad used to cook for the Lumberjacks in the North Maine Woods when he was a teen !
I have been eating Hormel's Corned Beef Hash since I lived in Old Maplewood, Louisiana - 1957 - till today, it is so good with a fried egg on top, after you have crisped the hash in the skilled first - then place the fried egg on top - Umm Good!!
I'm laying in some supplies now, just in case, and Hormel Corned Beef Hash is one of my "go-to" choices. The food itself is outstanding, as is the promptness of delivery, but there are a couple of disappointments. First, after adding the shipping costs, the price is not saving very much from a store trip. Second, the cans (or their contents) are getting smaller. Used to be the can contained 16 ounces of product, now it's 14 ounces. I don't recall any price reduction to match the reduction in the amount of product, though. Looks like a stealth price increase.
I have never been a fan of corned beef hash but my family always enjoyed it so I thought I'd give this brand a go. I'm pleased to say that this is by far better than others I have tried. I crisped it up, served it with sauerkraut and rolls and it was a hit! Very flavorful, easy to prepare and an inexpensive meal!
The product was as expected since the same item is frequently found in grocery stores. However, one of the cans (still within the carton) was badly dented to the point where I wondered whether the metal had been punctured. After removing the product and filling the empty can with water to check for leaking, it appeared to be intact but was certainly considerably crushed.
While I love the taste of this corn beef hash, I am very disappointed that I ordered two 6 packs and seven of the cans were extremely dented upon delivery
