I used this tool to dry/stretch my daughter's mid-lower back length 4c hair. It worked surprisingly well. She said it wasn't painful (I detangled thoroughly before drying) and it didn't rip at her hair. We rarely apply heat to her hair, maybe once a year, so this dryer brush won't get too much use. However, I highly recommend it because it worked better than any other blow dryer we've used.
This is so much easier to use than using a single brush and blow dryer with both hands. My thick curly hair was blown out and pretty straight!! After using this blow dryer brush, I only had to do one pass with my flat iron afterwards and my hair came out the best I've ever done in 20 years!
Easy to put together. High is very loud. I bought it to help drying my daughters hair and she loves it. I'm shocked that she wasn't afraid of the heat, or the sound. She's okay as long as I keep it on low. It's easy to use and does the job. I wish I would have purchased sooner.
I have natural 4a hair, low porosity, high density. I bought this to blow my hair out to cut damaged ends from no trims for about a year. It's bulky and kinda hard to hold. Handle gets a little hot. It was my first time blowing my hair out since I became natural back in 2021. I won't use this often because I prefer my natural curls. Maybe only when it's time for trims or silk press. Didn't cause any heat damage. I used Pantene heat protectant and kept this on low. Took maybe 5-6 passes to get a section dry and straight. Wasn't bone straight like a flat iron would do but straighten my curls. I'm happy with the purchase. Have a sister with true thick 4C hair who I'm sure I'll use this on soon. That'll be the real test.
Love this dryer me and my girls have really thick hair and this doesn't pull our hair it is really loud and the gold part of the detachment does get hot so you must hold the purple handle which is very hard for me to do but over all it's great and convenient for me
I rated the dryer a four because of quality and the box it was packaged in seemed used or a returned purchase. The brush beads do pop off while your drying 4c hair
unfortunately I hd to return this blow dryer. I loved the color and how quickly it dried my hair, but I didn't realize it has bristles also. bristles on a blow dryer concerns me, because I think it will be harsh on my hair and snag.
Only works for my thick hair if you take it in very small sections, it's also difficult to hold especially if you have small hands. I also found the handle was heating up and it's hard to grip. Several times while using it I had to reset the breaker because it got so hot it killed the power in the room. Wanted this to work so bad, but will be returning.
Love the paddle brush head would be great with fixed head for people with long and or thick hair. The head came unlocked twice while using it the first time. Would be ok for shorter hair that's not thick.
I was looking for something to quickly dry my hair smoothly instead of the barreled type volumizing brush dryers. My hair is thick and coarse, prone to frizziness. The paddle attachment kept detaching when I was trying to dry underneath my hair. It didn't grab onto my hair to create any tension to hold my hair straight or smooth. I kept having weird curls on the bottom of my dried hair. After seeing the end result and reattaching the brush on 3 times, I realized it wasn't for me. Returned it the next day. I added 2 stars for the pretty indigo color and the fact that it took me 15-20 minutes to dry my hair instead of the usual 1 hour.
