I JUST used this. I made some egg fried rice. I dropped some of this in the pan, and sauteed some diced onions in it. Then with a little butter too, I dropped the white rice, soy sauce and egg and whipped it up. I didn't use any other seasoning, and I still got great flavor from this oil. I can't wait to make more, and other types of stir fry.
This stir fry oil makes cooking stir fry a snap. I use frozen veggies and it makes them tender and flavorful in just a few minutes. It's savory, full of flavor and delicious. Hormel House of Tsang stir fry oil makes cooking stir fry at home super simple. Plus, it smells insanely mouth watering.
I received the Hormel House of Tsang Stir-Fry Oil as part of a sampling program and just love it. The oil is light and does not burn over high heat. It is great for a quick saute of vegetable and chicken and is flavorless so it can be used in addition to sauces. A little goes a long way. Highly recommend.
I recently made a dish with this stir fry oil and I was impressed with how it turned out. This oil is significantly thinner then other oils (olive, vegetable) and I would not say it has much of a distinctive taste. It also is dispensed in large drops, so that you do not add too much to the pan. I will continue to cook my stir fry dishes with this oil!
This used to be called Wok Oil. If you loved wok oil then you will love this. It has an amazing smell. I use it to rub steaks prior to salting and searing. Sous vide a steak to medium rare (130 degrees) for an hour or two then pat dry and rub with this oil. Salt to taste then sear in a cast iron pan as hot as you can get it a minute and a half on each side. You will end up with a salty crust in a steak that is perfectly medium rare all the way through. Juicy! Sous vide keeps all the juices in the steak. The only thing I miss about pan cooking a steak is the deglazing process with a glass of wine. Tastes so good on the steak. Now I keep the wine in the glass and enjoy the pure taste of the beef.
I love the bottle topper on this. Just a little comes out at a time, perfect for making Asian food. It pairs well with the other House of Tsang sauces which I add at the very end. Its great because it doesn't overwhelm the food and its not heavy or greasy at all.
I am absolutely in love with House of Tsang Brand! It's easy to put together, which is great if you are in a hurry, and you know what you're getting. This is so delicious. My family is in love with it. My kids don't want me to cook with anything else unless I use the sauce each time. We stuff ourselves every time. Each and every sauce I've tried are top of the line in taste, which I have used in many different ways, and can be used as a marinade or table condiment. House of Tsang comes in cooking oils, dipping sauces, stir-fry sauces, soy sauces, grill sauces, and flavoring oils. If you loved wok oil then you will love this. It has an amazing smell. I absolutely love the flavor this adds to whatever dish you make! It adds good flavor and is easy to work with. This oil does not burn and is delicious. Also, it does not have an overpowering garlic flavor.
I've never used a stir-fry oil that's infused with herbs and spices, but I was pleasantly surprised by this oil. I use this for stir-frying seafood because it helps mask the fishy smell. I used this to stir-fry shrimp! Didn't really marinate it, just added some salt and white pepper powder and fried it in this oil. Came out amazing, very fragrant and not fishy at all! Excited to try this with salmon next.
This taste great with fried rice or stir fry veggies. Just add a little to the wok then add you item of choice and stir fry. It provides a nice taste to any dish. Don't use too much like we did the first go around. The garlic flavor is really profound. But overall, a great purchase.
I received a free sample of HOUSE OF TSANG Stir-fry oil from BzzKit and I was very pleased with the product. I used the HOUSE OF TSANG stir-fry instead of peanut oil the last few times I stir-fried and it did a fairly decent job. (Typically I use peanut oil when I stir-fry, because I like the flavor it produces and also that it doesn't burn very easily. ) The HOUSE OF TSANG oil has a very good flavor, as long as you like the taste of garlic. It does not have a very overpowering taste and the oil didn't burn, a common concern I have when using oils other than peanut oil. (Maybe I'm just not a very good cook.) You don't have to use a whole lot of the product for it to work and my wok was not that hard to clean afterwards. This is a very good product, and while I won't be changing to HOUSE OF TSANG from my current peanut oil, I would definitely recommend that you give it a try!
