Cook any chicken on low then add this sauce! Best ever!! I didn't like it with a smoked meat. It took away from fabulous flavor. Best wings ever but all chicken is better with this on it. Legs are probably the best value! But totally work buying over and over again. I hear it's easy to make. But WHY?!? ♥️♥️♥️
I can truly say this is the first bottled Asian Sauce that appeals to my taste buds. I have tried so many that got one trial and were thrown away. It does have a little kick to it, but is not as hot as some General Tao's that I've had from restaurants. Going to explore this brand to see what else might be available. I really like this sauce and recommend.
The sauce is very good. I have bought it several times you can use whatever kind of meat you like, but I am partial to using. Pork and beef sirloin. I tossed some sesame oil in my wok, Brown the meat then pull it out then toss vegetables with more sesame oil when your choice of vegetables have soften just a bit. I toss the meat back in dump the sauce on it let it simmer for a while. During that time I have my rice cooker going then it all comes together. If you like more juice, you can add a little bit of water, but it does break down the strength a little of the sauce it's a good easy dinner option that looks like you fussed, but didn't. It is all a matter of preference, but I throw minced onion and minced garlic in with the mix after the vegetables have soften just a tick use whatever you want and be creative.
This sauce made it really easy to throw together a quick stir-fry dinner without needing a bunch of extra ingredients. The flavor is sweet, savory, and has just enough kick without being overly spicy. I used it with chicken and vegetables over rice and it tasted surprisingly close to takeout. Definitely something I'll keep in the pantry for easy meals.
I used this sauce on air fryer chicken wings and it turned out absolutely delicious. I cooked the wings first (plain, low and slow in the air fryer), then tossed them in the sauce for the last few minutes and put them back in so the sauce could caramelize. The darker spots in the photo are not burnt — that's just the sauce caramelizing and creating a sticky, glossy glaze.
My only experience with General Tso sauce is from Chinese restaurants. This, to me, isn't even close to that sauce, but it's delicious anyway. I used it as a dip for chicken strips and really enjoyed it. I suspect it would also be good on egg rolls. It's a little too sweet, but still good. I'm a wimp when it comes to heat; this has just a little heat to add some zing without being too much.
In my opinion, as a chef of many country, I find that this sauce will outdo any restaurant out there. Realize that a bottle will probably only make four batches. I just add Panko chicken, broccoli, and your other favorite veggies. I air fry the coated chicken by itself first. Then steam broccoli lightly, then combine and saucepan with onion, sauté, and serve.
I absolutely love this sauce. Its got a bit of a kick (which is good). I sautee noodles and veggies in this sauce and it turns out tasting like a restaurant quality Asian dish. The price is the only drawback. It is a bit expensive, so I limit how much I use, but it is nice to have every once and a while. In terms of spicyness, it is a 3 out of 5 .
This is the best rating sauce I've found it has a touch of heat but not a lot. I prefer more but my husband doesn't. So this works well since I can add more to my plate. Taste is good better than the frozen meal kits too. I think the price is a bit much for the amount you get. I think $3 would be more reasonable.
They gave me the wrong sauce. Instead of the General Tso it was classic Stir Fry sauce. The bottles look identical but the classic stir fry sauce is nasty and more than doubled the salt. They need to pay more attention to picking up the correct items in a pick up order.
