La Choy Bean Sprouts, Canned Vegetables, 14 oz Can

Just add eggs to make egg foo young. Great stuff! I ordered 4 cans and one was slightly dented. I may order again after I use these up. I like getting groceries online as it saves my son from having to shop for me. Thanks.

I completely clean the beans before cooking with them. I take off the seed, and what appears to be pieces of grass-like brown "sticks" that are attached. I personally don't like to have that stuff in my mouth. (Just me fussy). But the restaurants do not take the beans or other stuff, and it cooks fine. But I know what I'm eating and it kinda grosses me out. But none of this stops me from buying the sprouts. They do make the Chinese dishes better.

What I liked about this item is that it is shelf stable and works for well in recipes that require cooking.

Great for quick stir fry addition, especially chow mein. Tip: soak for 10 min in room temp water to remove any tinny taste :)

Two of the four cans I ordered came with massive dents, even though inside a cardboard shipping box. Perhaps the dents occurred at the warehouse and were ignored by the person who picked them from the stock? I am unhappy about this as it compromises the quality and possibly the sanitation of the bean sprouts inside. I will be asking for refunds or replacement.

I didn't realize that I had to pay shipping charges on this order at more than double the price of the product. I will definitely pay much closer attention to this area in the future.
