Mizkan Mirin Sweet Cooking Seasoning, 12 fl oz

This rice wine is sweetened. There is a bit of alcohol. It is important for getting the right tastes with some Asian dishes. A little bottle like this lasts me over a year. It works in a home made Asian style salad dressing too. Please recycle the empty bottle.

I have looked at a couple of places for this item and found that Walmart had a larger bottle and for a very good price. I have started to cook more Asian dishes and they call for Mirin. I like the flavor of this cooking seasoning.

If you are cooking any type of Chinese food put a little bit of this in rice , sweet %26 sour pork or chicken. It's sweet and adds a lot of flavor to the dishes. I make sushi and the rice that is used is sticky rice and I put 1/2 tsp to start with and then taste and if it need's more add more using 1/4 tsp at a time till flavored to your liking.

Good on salads and with rice %26 eggs

Mirin is a necessary ingredient in homemade teriyaki sauce, which I make several times a year. This brand is just as good as other, more expensive ones. I used to find it in the store, but this time it had to be delivered so I had to go a few days w/out it.

7.16.2026 Ontario Oregon. This is not real Mirin, instead it's just some crud manufactured corn syrup. Since I purchased it on the app and picked it up at the store, I didn't know or I would not have bought it. Just go across the street to the Winco foods where you can buy real Mirin, or any Asian grocery store if you have them where you live.
