This looks just like the HP ENVY 6055e works like it too. It’s also $30 cheaper. This new printer works great hopefully it will last as long as the one our family printer has (it’s still working... my brother took it). It was also a HP brand lasting 10 years now.
idk why the bad reviews .. i am computer %26 printer stupid i love this printer set up was simple .. prints well i had zero issues getting the instant ink package that comes with it i did however set the printer up through my phone was hassle free and transferred to my laptop no issues ..
Nice printer/scanner/copier for home for small printing jobs. Has colored lights, pretty. It takes two cartridges (black and color), but I am not sure yet if it will still print if one of the cartridges ran out. No USB cord necessary, however, it does come with a USB port. It says if the USB port is covered, do not hook up USB - need to call HP. Mine was covered with some type of label, but I did not have to call HP because I used the bluetooth to hook it up.
Works beautifully... after you're flustered to death by the set up. I have a Windows computer that can't keep up with updates. The drivers get messed up because windows is constantly updating. The WiFi driver is often the hardest hit. The computer I bought this for, the WiFi driver is toast. Microsoft knows this, they offer no fix. I saw it had a USB port on the back at the store and THOUGHT I could plug it in. NOPE. It doesn't work off USB. Had I known that, I wouldn't have bought that one. I asked a store associate IN the electronics department what he could tell me about the different brands, he says, verbatim, ”IIIIII have never actually bought one. I dunno... " I'm SO glad they put you in electronics! lol! The one department that you actually need to know what you're doing. 4 Stars for the fact that it functions perfectly after you find a computer that is compatible. Minus 1 Star for the fact it is a paperweight without wifi.
Printer is light weight and good size for my home office. I just needed something basic. Color inks are nice. However, I found myself having to power off the printer constantly because it won’t stay connected to my network or goes into some type of endless loop and I can’t print unless I unplug the power cord and plug it back in to reset the printer. I have to do this about 2-3 times in an 8 hour work day. Very annoying. I contacted HP for help and was routed to a third party who was hard to understand and he wasn’t able to resolve the issue.
I'm so tired of dealing with it going offline. For me, setup wasn't easy. I bought one for my mom and hers was a breeze. Why?! I don't know. There's no port in back to link it to your wifi - not sure why they took that nice feature away. It prints nice after I have to troubleshoot it to get it back online. I miss my old hp printer!!!
Hard to operate because all communucation goes through a phone or computer. The printer doesn’t have a screen so it takes more time figure out what the probelm is. I couldn't set up the hp program and my phone had a hard time finding and connecting with the printer. The quantity of the prints is terrible! I print a lot of music and it looks blurry and faint, hard to read. When i select the higher quality, it takes forever (like it was a photo) and I'm getting the exact same poor quality. I'm returning it.
My last HP Envy was a dream and last me 9 years. I had to replace it and decided to get this upgraded version. However it is going back tomorrow. The printer does not work out of the box. You have to chat with HP to update the software then they want to remotely access your computer, which is ridiculous for a brand new printer. Every time I try to print I get an error saying the printer is busy however, there’s nothing printing and again it’s brand new.
Bought this and after 4 different people tried to connect it to the computer had to return it. Never was able to connect it to the wi-fi. The ones that tried to connect it were use to doing that type of thing and just couldn't get it to work. Walmart was great at taking it back.
This printer would not sync with my hp laptop and the internet. I called the help line and was connected to a site where I heard a lot of background noise. They aggressively tried to sell me about $500 upgrades for my laptop. Including a McAffee program that I am buying for 1/2 the price from McAffee. I believe this was a scam operation and I am returning the printer. Not Walmart’s fault but beware.
