Basically a very fast, modern quality PC definitely good value for money. Only negative was my screensaver was locking after longer periods of inactivity, however when I later replaced my 10 year mouse with a new one it solved this problem, so that's a tip for others
Basic computer seems to work well. Small footprint so you can put it most anywhere. Wireless keyboard and mouse are a plus. Built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connected easily. If you have older monitors with a VGA connector like me you will need adapters available from Walmart to connect to the computer. Dual monitor setup was easy. Multiple USB ports available for peripherals and one audio in/out port. The build is basic. Not heavy duty but should be fine for a home environment.
Neither the keyboard nor the mouse worked. Finally gave up on them and used the keyboard and mouse from CPU being replaced. Was unable to begin setup until then. CPU itself seems to be fine although it took several hours to download and transfer data which seemed excessive.
Walmart lowered the price less than a month after buying. I paid 479.00 reduced to 399.00. This computer comes with two different processors the Intel i3-12100 and i3-14100. I paid for the i3-14100 and the one that delivered from the store was i3-12100 which was reduced. Since I already had setup I called customer service to ask if they would refund the difference and all I got was a 25.00 e- card.
THIS ONE OBVIOUSLY MISSED QUALITY CONTROL CHECK. MONITOR WOULD ONLY RECEIVE SIGNAL FROM DESKTOP UNIT IF I REBOOT THE PC UNIT. CONNECTED MONITOR TO MY EXISTING PC AND WORKED FINE.
Where to start. Pros: Looks great, easy carry weight and dimensions. Cons: 180W PSU - f orget about upgrading components! RAM: Comes with 8GB and ONLY upgradable to 16GB. Bare minimum for Windows 11 is 4GB. The sweet spot is 8GB. Add multitasking, games, even multiple tabs while browsing, watching a video, you are constantly bumping up the amount of RAM you need. Unless you just do E-mail, solitaire, Youtube video or shopping forget it. Video: I got to watch a YT video jump out and run right to left as fast as it could. Ethernet/WiFi an off beat Realtek - need I saw more. Stability: Froze a couple times well over 30 minutes each and had to do a cold shutdown- NOT GOOD for components!!! I didn't even bother researching the CPU but it was obvious it was not a very decent component, either. Didn't take much for the fans to ramp up either. Basically, it's a Chromebook inside a tower. Needless to say I returned it. I ended up going on local FB marketplace, getting a few used components and buying the res, onlinet to build my own rig. My Gen 3, DDR4 rig is killing it when this Dell was choking doing as much or less work!!! Need I say more? .
It's my fault for not realizing that this only had eight gigs of RAM will not run properly on eight gigs of RAM and maybe it's first time I own a SSD drive and it's possible there's an issue with that but it computer has been freezing since day one I'm actually sorry that I bought it because the price versus quality is not worth it
This is not the model I ordered . Had to purchase a cable to connect the monitor. VGA to MDMI. The computer will not recognize the keyboard or mouse. It is useless. I am sick. I contacted HP chat and they wanted $5.00. I will have to take it to computer shop to get it working.
Computer failed after 7 months - no power to the monitor. It was still under HP warranty, so I took it to Best Buy (an authorized HP repair place). The tech said he couldn't open it up unless I had the extended warranty, and it would cost $200 to diagnose and repair. He recommended dealing directly with HP. I told them I wanted a refund, which they would not do. So I asked if it could be sent back to them for repair. The rep wanted me to go thru troubleshooting with him. I explained I had already done that and the Best Buy tech said it was most likely a motherboard issue. He would not give me info to send back unless I wasted more time troubleshooting. A waste of $500.
This computer comes with a wireless mouse and keyboard. However, what's not included is the dongle that's necessary to connect both of these. HP, is this some kind of cruel joke? Luckily I had wired versions of these so I could set it up. Then I spent hours troubleshooting the audio because there was no sound. Finally I opened the case to see if any cables were unplugged. To my surprise there was no speaker!!!! There was no warning on the box that speakers needed to be purchased separately. If I hadn't already installed software on it I would have returned it.
