Very Good but Missing Features

Groovy418 December 19, 2025

This bluetooth has been my go to since it was made by Plantronics. The improvements are battery life and usb-c connection & probably sound quality. However . . . Very importantly it needs features on prior versions: 1) Caller ID (link to phone contacts) 2) Auto redial a with button push 3) Voice dialing The connection is sometimes unstable - going from bluetooth back to phone, resulting in person not being able to hear me. Hp - please continue to improve!

New 50

The older model voyager legend 5200 was, my opinion, a better headset. Still worked, js the rubber deteriorated.

Better headsets out there

Jerry 360 July 25, 2026

Hands free call answering does not work. The noise-canceling on the Poly Voyager 5200 is far better than the Voyager 50. I also can hear better on the Voyager 5200. Anyone looking for a headset do not buy the Poly Voyager 50. Try to find a Poly Voyager 5200 Or a headset, by Platronix.

Lots of background noise.

BDR caller February 2, 2026

After a few months of use and field attempts to fix the headset is only ‘OK'. The microphone picks up too much background noise. Clicking of a mouse, adjusting seat position and other background noises like people walking are picked up by the headset. Was unable to adjust the microphone sensitivity.

Flop

Miz G August 3, 2026

Thought it would be as good as the 5200...NOT, it's a flop, doesn't announce caller name, doesn't play the assigned ringtone, truly a waste of money. I'm handicap and the voyager legend 50 is useless to me so I got my voyager 5200 back out and began using it again. 😡

Save yourself the money

anonymous June 17, 2026

I don't know where you could use this as a work from home this was so frustrating. Twist lock ear covers were so hard to figure out the smallest bud covers didn't fit and the frequency range barely went between my office and the door. Wouldn't recommend unless you want a fancy ear piece

I ordered this Item online to pick up at the store. I received it in a sealed delivery envelope. I got it home and everything appeared fine while I wrapped it. Christmas morning it was opened to discover the tape had been cut and the ear piece had been stolen. Imagine our disappointment. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly

Poor quality

This is by far one of the worst poly headsets I've purchase. Poor connection, hering and voice quality.

Absolute Trash

anonymous August 16, 2026

Garbage. I've been using plantronics since 2011. This model is trash. Horrible sound quality incoming and outgoing. I've tried every spund adjustment possible npthing changes. I've been using the Poly Voyager 5200 for the last few years. And the Voyager Pro before that. My buddy prefers the Voyager Legend 5200. THAT sound quality is fantastic. I am going to try the Poly 30 now and see if its better with out the AI bs. If not, the Voyager 5200 is still readily available and reasonably priced. Stay far away from this Poly 50.

These things are trash!

bballhooper May 31, 2026

These things are trash. I have bought two of these in the last six months. Both have connective issues from the start. I have one on while working outside, It got sweat on it, and it stopped working. No one could hear me. The second one, after two months, started doing the same thing. I have used Platronic for over 20 years. In the last 3 or 4 years, the quality has gone way down.
