H&R Block - Tax Software Deluxe + State 2025 - Windows, Mac OS

I bought this because: (a) I have a federal pension and Oregon State allows for subtraction for income earned while NOT AN OREGON resident, and this subtraction is performed entirely within the Oregon State preparation side, independent of the Federal preparation; and, (b) I was able to manually enter my 1099-B stock trade transactions solely using my financial institutions tax statement summaries for reporting/claiming on my Federal Form 1040 (allowed by the IRS), and makes Federal completion much simpler and a big time savings. Neither of these operations I have described can be performed in Turbo Tax!

I've been using H&RB Deluxe for more than 10 years. It handles everything I need - simple stuff, investments, home business, Roth conversions, etc. The interface is straightforward, not glitzy. This is tax software - glitz and glam not required. The price is lower that the big name competitor. I want to pay less taxes, and pay less for tax software - Win-Win!

Product was easy to install and it imported my 2024 tax records OK from a competitive app. It just wasn't as intuitive on how to wrap up at the end and pay my taxes. I selected using a credit card but the tax records it printed gave me instructions on how to mail my check. Confusing!

I purchased HRBlock on line for my 2025 taxes. Generally, it worked well and I have used HRBlock for many years at this point. I do find the price increases over the last few years to be a bit much and find myself considering an alternate product next time. The process for printing and submitting of the Fed and state returns is cumbersome and confusing following the error checking and fixing steps.

I was disappointed in this workability of this software. The buttons to advance to another page had to be clicked just so on the outer edge of the button or they didn't work. So annoying. Also, when I'd type a number into a box and then advance to the next box and start to type a number, the software would revert back to the first box and I'd end out having to delete that and start again. It happened on multiple pages.

I've used H&R Block Deluxe for the past six or seven years. This is the first year I've been dissatisfied. Two reasons. First: Until a last-minute update (the week before the filing deadline), the software could not calculate the QBI deduction. This was frustrating and had me looking at alternative software before the necessary update finally came through. Second, as I prepared to e-file my federal and state returns, I learned the software would not e-file my state return (D.C.) this year. Wow. Not a good look.

Absolutely horrible experince year several years ina row attempting to input marketplace plan fully funded by myself. IRS states no ifno is necessary but not possible with the software. Takes many attempts putting in various information until the software will even accept the info to proceed.

Not as good as past years. Missing key parts . Couldn't efile state because of forms. Now have to wait 1 weeks. I also don't think it calculated my social security right. First time ever I owed and it was substantial. Watched refund calculator on side and when I entered my 6k senior deduction it never changed

Primitive, complicated and hard to use. Why can't we just scan in all of our tax documents and have AI complete the return for us. Really expensive because it doesn't even include the state return. Good app, but could be so much better. H&R Block needs to be improved.

Dear Walmart Agent. Honestly, I am not pleased with the zero information provided of how to download the app or when. I still do not know if the app was sent to me or will be sent to me or what. Could you please tell me where things stand? Thanks a bunch. Stay well
