The second step, after the shocker, is a coagulant that comes out of the bag like dark brown dirt. I was frightened, but not as much as I should have been. After leaving it to work overnight l returned to a dark brown cloud in the middle of the pool about half the pool diameter. I tried to suction the cloud out but that just stirred it up. I let settle out, suctioned again, etc. I finally drained the pool, got in with bleach, a brush and garden hose and cleaned the mess out. If you have a sophisticated vacuum system you might (might) be able to make this work, but with a typical backyard aboveground pool you probably aren't prepared to deal with it.

I had shocked my pool three times, vacummed, scrubbed, backwashed for a week and nothing was working....it was still green I put this in last night and woke up this morning to everything on the bottom....AMAZING !!! Will definetly use this again !!!

I had almost given up on my pool and then ended up as one last resort to try this stuff. Overnight, just like it says, green to blue!

This stuff is a miracle worker. I will start with…before you put in step 2 (the flocculant) let step one settle for at least 2-3 hours, and make sure your ph level is good. If you do not make sure you have a good ph level the flocculant will NOT sink. After the flocc has sunk make sure you vacuum to waste. That part sucks cause of the water loss but is important! As long as you follow directions this stuff works wonders

It works!!! Make sure you follow the instructions. But they aren't comlicated. This stuff is amazing if you can spend a total kf like an hour working in it and dont mind using some water-to waste the sludge on the bottom of your pool it works just as promised.

This stuff works! 2 hours after turning the pump off all the algae was in a 6 foot circle on the bottom in the middle of the pool and the water was clear. Ignore the negative reviews from the people who didn't follow the instructions and ran it through their filter.

I've been using HTH Super GREEN TO BLUE Shock System for the last 12 months, it's effective, and am extremely satisfied with the results. Also, the price is reasonable. Believe it or not, I spent 10 times, 20 times the price of HTH Super G to Blue before recommended by a representative of the pool supplies store. They ask you to bring a sample of water from your pool. They will test it for free. After their testing, they will recommend so many items from their merchandise. And it's a waste of money, nothing works. HTH Super GREEN TO BLUE Shock System is the best.

I didn't read the part that says it's not for pools that don't filter to waste. When I added part two my pool turned from light green to black but by morning the water was clear and everything had accumulated on the bottom of the pool to be vacuumed. The problem was getting it vacuumed out since my pool doesn't have the filter to waste option. The filter cartridges kept clogging up and needing to be cleaned. After vacuuming and cleaning the filter several times over a two day period the pool was clean and beautiful.

Several days of continuous rain and extended hours at work resulted in a heavy algae build up in our pool. I have used several products like this over the past years for my pool including expensive recommendations from Pool Supply Stores. Absolutely nothing that I've tried works as good as this. If you follow the instructions, that are very precise and clear, your pool will turn from green to blue in 24 hours. THIS STUFF WORKS!!!!
