I had shocked my pool three times, vacummed, scrubbed, backwashed for a week and nothing was working....it was still green I put this in last night and woke up this morning to everything on the bottom....AMAZING !!! Will definetly use this again !!!
I had almost given up on my pool and then ended up as one last resort to try this stuff. Overnight, just like it says, green to blue!
With all the rain we had in a week's time my pool turned green and I was having a very hard time fixing it so I gave this a try and it worked incredible well and fast within a 24 hour time span I got my pool sparkling blue again!
I can honestly say this product is amazing!! Every year I fight with my pool water turning green. I constantly have frogs no matter what I do. My pool is a small 14 foot round and 48 inches tall. I put one package in my pool in June. My water is still clear and it's almost August. My pump went out about 2 weeks ago and it hasn't turned green or cloudy at all. I have enjoyed my pool more this year then any other time. I recommend this it's been wonderful.
It works!!! Make sure you follow the instructions. But they aren't comlicated. This stuff is amazing if you can spend a total kf like an hour working in it and dont mind using some water-to waste the sludge on the bottom of your pool it works just as promised.
Our 18 ft above ground pool had started turning green and no amount of 4-in-1 chlorine would work to clear it up. We were out of regular algaecide and took a chance on this. The box has two treatments for a pool our size . We could not believe, how simple and effective it is. It does take a day and the jellified results to vac up seem gross but once it's out, water is more crystal clear than ever.
This stuff works! 2 hours after turning the pump off all the algae was in a 6 foot circle on the bottom in the middle of the pool and the water was clear. Ignore the negative reviews from the people who didn't follow the instructions and ran it through their filter.
The flocculant is very difficult to vacuum out of the pool. When you move the vacuum it creates a cloud of it, thus you need to let it settle again and re-vacuum. I will not add the flocculant step to my pool again, as it wastes too much water trying to vacuum it up to waste. It cannot be filtered out.
The second step, after the shocker, is a coagulant that comes out of the bag like dark brown dirt. I was frightened, but not as much as I should have been. After leaving it to work overnight l returned to a dark brown cloud in the middle of the pool about half the pool diameter. I tried to suction the cloud out but that just stirred it up. I let settle out, suctioned again, etc. I finally drained the pool, got in with bleach, a brush and garden hose and cleaned the mess out. If you have a sophisticated vacuum system you might (might) be able to make this work, but with a typical backyard aboveground pool you probably aren't prepared to deal with it.
Green to Blue was my go to product to clear the pool. worked every time. However, the product should be renamed Green to floating Light Green. I used two treatments on two consecutive days. The Shock worked, the Flocculant did not. The debris did not drop and is floating or suspended in the water as indicated in the photos. I left an email with HTH and have not received a response.
