Hyper Tough 2.5 lb Garden Pick Mattock with Fiberglass Handle and High Quality Steel Dual-Sided Head

I hope it lasts many years. I dug 5 holes and planted 5 perennials since I bought this pickaxe a few days ago. The advice to use a soaker hose for an hour on the flowerbed several hours before digging in clay, and use a pickaxe helped me finish my garden project.

A well-made, mid weight pick for general gardening projects. Handle is comfortable to hold and good length at 34 inches. The price, especially when purchased online is unmatched by any other retailer.

It seems to be built very well and super easy to swing. I also didn't expect it to work as well as it did for our heavy, wet, red Carolina clay soil. I bought it to make holes to plant for my foundation plants. 100% would buy again.

This is an excellent choice for use around the house with clean up around my rose bushes… it's light weight,, and very handy for chopping briars and weeds…

I'm surprised for this quality !!!! Very durable , very sturdy, very easy to dig my small garden ( with roots ) . It's not too heavy for a lady that don't do much exercise . Highly recommended

Exactly what I needed. Almost half the price of major hardware stores, just as good. Went throudg, dirt, invasive tree roots and bits of concrete. Like the fact that it has sleeves on each end to prevent injury.

It's awesome, lightweight, but steady, handy and cut roots easily, It works very well! it took me shortly to dig out an avocado stump with diameter of 3-4 inches!

I had to take a star off because the head now flops around on the handle once in a while but typically swing centrifugal force keeps it where you need it I do find it annoying once in a while - The Handle and head however are very strong and I can use my full weight to Pop up a Briar Root or Rock and that's what matters and it was the Best Price in it's Class

Just so you know, the head weight is 2 1/2 pounds in the handle weighs 2 1/2 pounds so it's still pretty heavy at 5 pounds like a normal Mattock. Was hoping for something lighter as I have arthritic hands.

Hyper tough is a product that I really love but on this item when I was using it, the pick just came away and I had to tap it back into place. It just slipped down the handle. But it didn't come off at the top but at the bottom. I just slipped it back on and tapped it back into place. But on the other hand it was not for use as a snow and ice removal.
