I like the that product holds its shape it shows in the advertised photo without anything in it. i have yet to try it on our trip but i have a feeling ill like it a lot! highly recommended! All the other rooftop cargo bag i seen showed them like it was a firm product but than its just a literal bag you have to stuff full for that advertised shape. (The photo is with the bag completely emptied but zipped closed)
This is one of the best items I've ever bought online! I was going to buy the cheaper ones but my gut told me to invest in something sturdy and can keep its shape when on the road. We traveled with high winds %26 rain. When I got to my destination, the carrier was in tact—never budged an inch from its position and everything was blessedly dry. Didn't make a sound while driving. It's worth the money. Holds quite a lot surprisingly. Note the design is aerodynamic too. Can't rave enough about it. Oh, and storage is a breeze too.
This thing held up like a champ for 2,000 miles at 85 mph, from Arkansas to California, through two surprise snowstorms and heavy rain. Just be sure to tighten the straps as much as possible and run them through your windows, otherwise, you'll be dealing with the most obnoxious noise as you pick up speed. Definitely works well as a last second alternative to the hard shell versions.
I was a little skeptical at first, thought it wouldn't make it through my trip as it was on the cheaper end compared to others. As my last resort, I decided to purchase it as others were more on the expensive side. I was truly impressed how this cargo held up. I traveled 2k miles in rain, snow, heavy winds, temperatures between 27-85 degrees and was going anywhere from 65mph-75mph the whole way. The straps held on very well. The items inside did get a tad bit wet, but nothing crazy or damaging.
Well made and very durable. Bought a few ratchet straps to give it a little more security and it was perfect. Drove half way across the country with absolutely no problems. Only complaint is it's a bit overpriced but that seems to be the normal with these kind of items. All in all, two thumbs up.
Once I figured out how to feed the strap through the buckle, it has been a breeze to use. Stays secured and dry.
This folds up to the size of a large sleeping pad and is pretty r Easy to fold up and expand out. It is as described semi rigid and has decent capacity. It has three zippers which is nice as you can open it from various angles. I haven't yet used it on the highway, but initially my impression is good on size and quality. Seems like a great alternative to a Thule or Yakima that takes up a lot of garage space.
It is waterproof. It was not difficult to attach it to the top of our car. It collapses down to a smaller size. We didn't have time to shop around so we chose this one by the good reviews of it not leaking into it wnen it rains. But for the price we wish it would hold more. We traveled 1000 miles with it and had no problem.
The instructions are complicated and there are no instructional videos for this particular product. I would not recommend this for anyone who hasn't put a cargo carrier on top of their car before.
I should sue this company because it is not waterproof and all of my items were destroyed because of water damage from rain. It claims it is waterproof but it is a lie. Don't bother getting this..
